The divorce of Bill and Melinda Gates came as something of a shock to many when it occurred and once it did, the rumors began flying around as to why. While some believed it was a clever way to avoid financial trouble, others believed that it had to do with unfaithfulness on Bill’s part.

Some suspected that the unfaithfulness was helped along by the late lefty financier Jeffrey Epstein and that Melinda wasn’t going to go down with Bill’s ship as information began to come out after Epstein’s death. We now have something of confirmation and it would appear that at least one of the big reasons for Melinda leaving Bill was indeed his relationship with Epstein.

According to the New York Post, Melinda sat down for an interview with Gale King on “CBS Mornings” where she confessed that one of the reasons she left the multi-billionaire tech legend was due to his consistent unfaithfulness and his dealings with Epstein:

“I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein, no. I made that clear to him,” French Gates shared with King before adding that she met the late perv “exactly one time” because she “wanted to see who this man was.”

“I regretted it the second I walked in the door,” said French Gates, 57. “He was abhorrent. He was evil personified. My heart breaks for these women.”

Gates had previously called the meetings a “mistake” when questions about them by PBS’s Judy Woodruff in an interview last September. The interview featured Gates fumbling for answers, and admitting that the multiple meetings he had with the sex trafficker are a regret he has.

“It was reported that you continued to meet with him over several years, and that — in other words, a number of meetings,” Woodruff said “What did you do when you found out about his background?”

“Well, I have said I regretted having those dinners. And there’s nothing, absolutely nothing new on that,” Gates replied.

When asked if Gates learned any lessons from this, he responded with a very odd answer about Epstein being dead and having to be careful.

“Well, he’s dead,” Gates said. “So, in general, you always have to be careful.”

To be clear, this does not confirm that Gates took part in any enjoyment from Epstein’s sex trafficking, though it does make one heavily suspect wrongdoing of some type occurred. Melinda thought it necessary to bring it up during her interview with King, hinting that she was perhaps disgusted enough to separate from the billionaire.

Melinda did hint that the number of affairs her ex-husband had was numerous. When asked if he had multiple affairs, Melinda responded with “Those are questions Bill needs to answer.”

Investigations into the dealings of Epstein are still underway. It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that many powerful people were involved in it. Whether Gates is among them remains to be seen.
