President Joe Biden’s approval rate is plummeting so fast that it’s scaring other Democrats into believing that their campaigns will be dragged down with it.

According to New York Times, three dozen governorships are up for grabs, including in highly valued battleground states, but with Biden’s popularity on a very steep downtrend, Democrats are getting nervous…

…very nervous.

At a fundraising event in Florida, several Democrat governors and their donors confessed that they’re well aware of the voters turning their backs on Democrats, and hope that the State of the Union on Tuesday evening will help bump approval points up and grease the wheels for Democrats to be reelected.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper acknowledged things are dim but see the potential for improvement for the left’s situation.

“The environment is not where we want it to be right now,” said Cooper. “But I believe it’s going to get substantially better.”

There’s a lot of doubt about that among the American people, and repeated polls tell us that a lot of that comes from the fact that Democrats have made themselves horrifically out of touch by keeping to a strict ideological bubble.

We can assume that this is why New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy had an incredibly insulting take about why people are mad. In summary…you don’t know why you’re mad:

Mr. Murphy won by 3.2 percentage points in a state that Mr. Biden carried a year earlier by nearly 16 percentage points. That same day, Glenn Youngkin, a Republican, won the Virginia governorship; Mr. Biden won Virginia by 10 points in 2020.

“I just got re-elected in the teeth of —” Mr. Murphy said, cutting himself off before noting that people are just “mad as hell,” chiefly because the pandemic has dragged on for two years. “They’re not necessarily sure why they’re mad or who they’re mad at, but they’re mad and they’re frustrated.”

In other words, Murphy acknowledges that some of these frustrations are pandemic related but he stops short of pointing the finger where it belongs; the Democrat Party. While Republican Governors have had their states thrown wide open for some time now, Democrat governors have held tight or slow-walked their reopening at a highly sluggish pace. Many clamped down on schools angering parents and causing the ongoing war between parents and the public school system which hasn’t played well for Democrats at all.

It’s generated a mistrust around the Democrats for voters, many of whom have fled states controlled by them to seek refuge in states with Republicans in charge. What’s more, there’s no reciprocal movement to blue states. They’re emptying out.

The bottom line here is that Democrats didn’t cross the line, they crossed many lines, and now they’re paying for it. What’s more, they’re still making the same mistake of blaming everyone and everything but themselves for it.
