Former Border Patrol Chief Slams Biden for Making America Less Safe With Day One Border Executive Order

With one stroke of his pen, President Joe Biden dramatically changed the safety measures we have at the border, and former Acting Customs Border Patrol Commissioner Mark Morgan spoke out to warn Americans just how badly.

According to Fox Business, Morgan spoke to Fox host Maria Bartiromo about the situation at the border and spoke on the fact that Biden effectively stripped the protections Trump had put on it, throwing the door wide open for problems that had been squelched four years ago to rise again.

“Our country is less safe today than it was the day before because of President Biden,” Morgan told Bartiromo.

These measures include halting the construction of the border wall which Biden refers to as a “waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security.”

“By doing this … the border patrol agents defending it are less safe. It’s outrageous. And I hope every American citizen in this country pays attention to what’s coming next,” Morgan said.

Morgan pointed at Biden’s support for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which partially funded the very same border wall solution that Democrats are now against despite construction beginning under the Obama/Biden administration.

“It was hailed then as something very effective to safeguard our nation’s border. But now all of a sudden, it’s not needed. It’s hypocrisy and it’s unbelievable. That’s what worries me,” said Morgan.

Morgan warned that this sudden shift on border security policy will trigger another migrant crisis as immigrants south of the border will look to cross into the United States illegally now that its protections have been reduced.

“It is driving the next illegal immigration crisis,” he added. “One that will pale in comparison to 2019 if they continue with these policies.”

According to Fox News, a Biden official has already sent a message to any potential migrant waves that plan on coming to the United States, telling them that now is not the time and that things will be better for them down the road:

The Biden transition official, however, warned migrants against coming to the U.S. during the early days of the new administration, telling NBC that while “there’s help on the way,” now “is not the time to make the journey.”

“The situation at the border isn’t going to be transformed overnight,” the official told the outlet.

“We have to provide a message that health and hope is on the way, but coming right now does not make sense for their own safety…while we put into place processes that they may be able to access in the future,” the official said.

It may be that we will see another migrant crisis hit America very soon if Biden’s policies allow slack security once again. What’s more, if the border does become unsecured again, it may invite more than just migrants.
