WATCH: Joy Behar Suggests Alabama's White Pro-Life Senators Get Forced Vasectomies

The View’s Joy Behar certainly has a well-known schtick of taking things a bit too far. She’s the person in the group of protesters that excitedly suggests they kidnap the mayor after everyone gets themselves pumped about picketing outside the capitol.

On Wednesday, Behar’s anger over the Alabama anti-abortion bill caused her to suggest that the white, male senators who passed it should be required to have a vasectomy.

The conversation kicked off when co-host Whoopie Goldberg asked if this could set off a chain of events that would strike down Roe v. Wade. Fellow co-host Sunny Hostin said that she definitely thinks it will reach the Supreme Court, and by the time 2019 comes to an end, abortion will be illegal in 20 states, if not heavily restricted.

“it’s always been the plan,” said Hostin, “At least since 1973, to challenge Roe v. Wade, and remember, abortion is now not illegal, but the Supreme Court even in ’73 said that you could still restrict it once the fetus is viable.”

Hostin finished by warning her co-hosts that Roe has never been closer to being overturned due to the five justices on the Supreme Court.

That’s when Behar asked that the senators who did vote for it be brought up on the screen, and pointed out that they’re all white and male. Why she felt the need to add race is anyone’s guess.

She then suggested that a law should be passed requiring them to have vasectomies or the process of making men infertile.

“Can we look at a picture of the panel of men who did this?” said Behar. “There it is. Gee, what do they have in common? They’re all men. All white guys. Maybe they should make it a law that they should all be required to get a vasectomy, that group in particular. That would solve the problem.”

Behar did not elaborate on how a vasectomy would solve the problem.

As Hank Berrin of the Daily Wire noted, Behar seems to have missed the fact that Roe was put in place due to the yes votes of sex white men:

Of course, Behar is either unwilling to admit or completely ignorant of the fact that it was a huge majority of seven men on the Supreme Court who voted for Roe v. Wade, and six of them were white: Harry Blackmun, William Douglas, Potter Stewart, Lewis Powell, Warren Burger, and William Brennan. With the exception of Douglas, who was nominated by FDR, the other five justices were all appointed by Republicans.

What Behar also seems also ignorant of or unwilling to acknowledge, is that the pro-life movement is primarily led by women. Even the Governor of Alabama expected to sign the bill into law is a woman. The recent near-impromptu pro-life rally in front of the Planned Parenthood where Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims attempted to doxx and harass teenage girls was mostly women.

Giving some Senators a vasectomy won’t actually help, contrary to Behar’s suggestion. While men voted for this bill, it’s women who are doing the groundwork to have these kinds of bills passed.
