The former Fox News and NBC hostess might be down, but she’s definitely not out.

According to The Hill, TMZ caught up with Megyn Kelly to ask whether or not she’ll be back on television at some point this year. According to Kelly, that answer is “definitely”:

“Will we see back on TV this year?” asked a TMZ reporter.

“You’ll definitely see me back on,” Kelly said while walking with her husband, author Douglas Brunt.

According to The Hill, exit negotiations are ongoing, but she’s going to walk away from NBC millions of dollars richer:

The former “Kelly File” host jumped from Fox News to NBC News in January 2017 for a reported $69 million over three years.

She’s expected to receive $30 million, the full remaining value of her contract, when she finalizes her exit negotiations, and is also expected to be free to go to any other network.

That last part is incredibly interesting to hear. If she’s free to travel to any network she pleases, and Kelly knows she’s going to be on television within the year, then we can only speculate which network has picked her up.

Some have speculated that she’ll make a return to Fox News, but according to Decider, that’s not likely in the works:

But Kelly shouldn’t get too excited quite yet. Sources close to Lachlan Murdoch, co-executive chairman of Fox News’ parent company News Corp, said that the exec is “extremely pleased with the current lineup,” which is media-speak for “Hell no, we’re not bringing Kelly back.” While one network exec described Kelly as “toxic,” it’s likely that Murdoch’s hesitation has something to do with the way Kelly left Fox News in 2016. At the time, Kelly came out harshly against Donald Trump, positioned herself as a #MeToo ally following the sexual misconduct allegations against Roger Ailes, and turned down a massive $100 million deal from the network before joining the NBC team.

This is assuming that Decider’s information is accurate, but if it is, then Kelly’s destination could be anywhere.

Time will tell.
