WOW! The Washington Post Just Gave Trump a HUGE Helping Hand On the Border Crisis In Time for His Address

President Donald Trump is set to speak on the border crisis from the Oval Office today, and the leftist press is already attempting to rain on whatever parade Trump leads. However, one left-leaning news outlet that is a dyed in the wool anti-Trump rag is actually giving his message about the border crisis a boost.

The Washington Post is only too willing to admit that there’s a serious problem at the border while many of its ilk are trying to play it off as something we need not worry too much about.

The article, written by Nick Miroff David Nakamura pulls no punches from the word go, starting with the title: “After years of Trump’s dire warnings, a ‘crisis’ has hit the border but generates little urgency.

The article gives you a bit of history, then hits the readers with this:

With parts of the federal government shut down over what has morphed into the defining symbol of Trump’s presidency, administration officials are clamoring louder than ever. Only this time, they face a bona fide emergency on the border, and they’re struggling to make the case there’s truly a problem.

Record numbers of migrant families are streaming into the United States, overwhelming border agents and leaving holding cells dangerously overcrowded with children, many of whom are falling sick. Two Guatemalan children taken into U.S. custody died in December.

More surprising is WaPo’s worry that the problem isn’t being solved over an unnecessary political war, with no bipartisan give from either side:

With both sides entrenched, there has been littlebipartisan urgency to examine the relatively narrow set of legal and administrative changes that could potentially make a difference in slowing illegal migration or improving conditions for families who arrive at the border.

“There are places that need better fences or better walls; no one denies that,” said Anthony Earl Wayne, a U.S. diplomat who served as ambassador to Mexico from 2011 to 2015. “But I don’t know how you get to that, while explaining to the public that we need to increase border security while meeting the human needs that are there.”

At this time, the Democrats are fighting Republicans and Trump tooth and nail in order to stop this border wall from being funded. Fascinating, however, is the fact that not long ago, Democrats were pushing for the same exact thing Trump is pushing for now, only during the Obama administration, when this was happening, the Democrats were asking for more cash to get it done.

One of Trump’s primary opponents in his border wall fight is Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) whom in 2009 took to the floor to tell everyone that illegal immigration is harmful, wrong, and that border barriers do in fact help.

It seemed like this was all common sense to Democrats not long ago, and if forced to give the truth, would likely tell you that border security is a big deal. However, with the Democrat party leaning so far to the left, agreeing at all with Trump or Republicans would be career suicide. It’s all about resisting.

Sadly, Democrats are resisting something that could harm the American people, it’s economy, and more.

If they won’t listen to Trump, then perhaps they’ll listen to the Washington Post.
