It is the biggest weekend of the year for the press, and it is a deeply important event. Just ask them. Saturday night sees the White House Correspondents' Awards Dinner (WHCD) being staged, the annual affair where the media figures hold their version of the Oscars.
This year, there is much upheaval to be heard because President Trump is attending; many journalists are complaining about his involvement. Their ignoring the fact that the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) leadership invited him is the start of the amusement. So after years of criticizing him for avoiding the affair, this year they criticize his appearance.
We also will explain the event put on by Substack, and show some media outlets slamming press outlets during the week when so many journos are pushing for freedom of the press. It would not be the press without them contradicting their own rules.
