It was a tough week of tabulating for our media judging panel this week, with many outlets vying for top (er, bottom) honors. With much going on there was plenty of content generated.
The week kicked off with the Israel-Hamas peace deal becoming finalized and hostages returning home. This reflected well on President Trump, which pained the press. Then there was upheaval at the Pentagon as dozens of news outlets walked off due to new press regulations instituted by War Secretary Pete Hegseth. They turned in their credentials in protest, leading to Hegseth having the emotional reaction of a shrug. Then there was the ramp up to the "No Kings" protests, which had the anti-Trump media gushing over an anti-Trump movement -- one that was as neutered as a Humane Society kitten.
So once again, to tug on the hip waders and begin the slog through the past week of reporting, and see which outlet distinguished itself on this flawed media landscape.
THE CONTENDERS
Time Magazine – In usual fashion we see the press helping liberal politicians, this time lending advice to the collapsing British Labor Party. One editorial has decreed that wealthy people should be capped at $30 million, otherwise you begin to exert power. The magazine rose to Zohran Mamdani’s defense from those cruel conservatives. The magazine covered the Israel peace deal, but had to place an embarrassing image of President Trump on the cover.

The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump's second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.
ABC NEWS – Mary Bruce saw fit to question the Israel peace deal, doing so in a fashion that had David Muir stepping in to say most people are not agreeing with her position. The network “broke” the story of former President Obama endorsing Rep. Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey, giving full coverage on behalf of the Democrat. The network also was sure to give Luigi Mangione’s lawyer a full chance to defend his client against the government.
MSNBC - Jen Psaki suggested that the Supreme Court was set to allow Trump to rig the mid-terms because they might approve the states making redistricting efforts. Joe Scarborough tried to say that criticizing the "No Kings" protests was disgracefully calling rally-goers “un-American” – forgetting his own charges that Trump backers were un-American. Jonathan Capehart invited Robert DeNiro to call the Jewish Stephen Miller a “Nazi.” Jacob Soboroff interviewed an inflatable unicorn at a "No Kings" protest.
CNN – Christiane Amanpour disgustingly stated the Israeli hostages were treated better than most Gazans. She was shamed into issuing a retraction. The network’s fact-checker Daniel Dale was nowhere to be seen when they held a town hall where Bernie Sanders as well as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez delivered massive falsehoods. After the outrage at the Pentagon, their longtime intelligence correspondent suggested this would lead to hit-pieces on Pete Hegseth. We were told to be fearful that The Male Gaze has made a comeback. Laughably the news network announced it was set to make its third attempt at launching a streaming version of its content.
THE WINNER
NBC NEWS
In a bit of an upset this week, the network managed to edge out some tough competition.
As the Israel peace agreement was being finalized Daniele Hamamdjian gave a rapturous report on Palestinians getting their land back, and the return of their “hostages” (political prisoners).
The network heralded the "No Kings" protests, but did not mention any controversial backers of the event or the speakers supporting Hamas.
Despite the pimping from the network, they found many protesters in D.C. who were unhappy with the Democratic Party.
When an arrest was made after conservative commentator Benny Johnson saw he and his family threatened, NBC News managed to make Johnson sound worse than his potential assailant.
The network came out with the announcement that its news division was slashing seven percent of the workforce.
Later it was learned that of the 150 jobs that were cut, most came from divisions covering minority groups.
The network tried to slam RFK Jr. over fertility rate comments. Not only did the article essentially agree with him, it contradicted past reports by NBC News on the matter.
Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie about President Trump, his administration, and conservatives.
