The campaign to cancel Joe Rogan has now stretched into multiple weeks, beginning by accusing him of spreading COVID-19 “misinformation.” Things have now evolved to attacking the podcaster’s past usage of the n-word while having discussions on his show. To the left, the context does not matter, though, and a compilation was put out that supposedly proves Rogan is a racist.

Since then, Rogan has taken the ill-advised step of apologizing to the mob and promising to bring on more leftwing guests, which has only emboldened them further. By contrast, Dave Portnoy is much better at playing this game, himself having been the target of many cancellation attempts in the past.

So when it was announced that he was going on a live stream with the three brothers who run MeidasTouch, one of the groups at the forefront of trying to destroy Rogan, there was some question as to whether Portnoy was getting in over his head. It was going to be three-on-one, after all. Portnoy had something up his sleeve, though.

After 16 minutes of self-righteous blather from the three brothers, insisting that Rogan should be canceled because he’s a vicious racist, Portnoy dropped a bomb. Apparently, instead of going into the situation empty-handed, he had in his possession a text message from one of the brothers using the n-word in 2014.

Portnoy named who the text was to. One of the brothers, after first saying Portnoy was lying, then admitted on the live stream that it was the fiance of the brother in the top left. The subject was quickly changed and the brother who was alleged to have said the n-word got really quiet after that.

Portnoy continued the fireworks by lighting into his hosts for taking things out of context to attack him, including accusations of sexism. The entire podcast is worth a watch just to see the MeidasTouch guys squirm. Hypocrisy on the left is a way of life and these three brothers fully embody that. It’s entertaining to see their entire worldview blown up in the course of one live stream.

As to releasing a picture of the actual text message in question, Portnoy hasn’t done so yet. But given the media empire he’s built and the credibility he’s shown in the past by always having the receipts, I don’t believe for a second that he’s making it up. If push comes to shove, he’ll no doubt make it public.
