Georgia Secretary of State Releases Signature Audit Findings

Some weeks ago, the State of Georgia announced that they would be auditing signatures from Cobb County as a test of voter fraud. This was part of an effort led by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to discredit such claims in what he calls “three strikes against voter fraud claims and they’re out.”

The results of that audit have now been released. According to Raffensperger, the signatures were found to be “99.99% accurate,” with supposedly zero fraudulent ballots being found.

A signature audit of absentee ballots in Georgia’s Cobb County did not turn up any instances of fraud, Georgia’s secretary of state announced earlier this week.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said on Tuesday that auditors found “no fraudulent absentee ballots” in Cobb and that county election officials had “a 99.99% accuracy rate in performing correct signature verification procedures.”

“The Secretary of State’s office has always been focused on calling balls and strikes in elections and, in this case, three strikes against the voter fraud claims and they’re out,” Raffensperger said in a statement. “We conducted a statewide hand recount that reaffirmed the initial tally, and a machine recount at the request of the Trump campaign that also reaffirmed the original tally. This audit disproves the only credible allegations the Trump campaign had against the strength of Georgia’s signature match processes.”

According to Raffensperger, the audit was done in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and encompassed 15,118 envelopes from “randomly selected” boxes. As The Daily Wire points out, Trump’s campaign has continually called for an audit of absentee ballots so these latest results will likely not settle the debate in anyone’s mind.

Regardless, we are firmly in lost cause territory at this point. Even if Georgia flipped to Trump via some massive finding, it wouldn’t change the outcome of the election. With the Supreme Court refusing to hear the case against Pennsylvania’s state-constitution-violating decision to go to universal mail-in voting, there is no path forward. Joe Biden is going to be president, and it’s going to be a disaster.
