If you were waiting with baited breath for how Nancy Pelosi would respond to Trump’s cutting of funding to the World Health Organization, your wait is over. She’s chimed in to make several nonsensical charges, including claiming that the cut is “illegal.”

In a statement, Pelosi, D-Calif., said the halt in funding amid the global pandemic “is senseless.”

“This is another case, as I have said, of the president’s ineffective response, that ‘a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others,’” Pelosi said Wednesday.

Actually, I’m pretty sure a weak, poor leader parrots Chinese propaganda and puts partisan politics over holding those responsible accountable. Love or hate Trump, and she no doubt does the latter, there is no argument that this pandemic is his fault. We were being lied to about the extent of the outbreak for months. Meanwhile, the WHO was right there pushing the CCP’s cover-up, including putting out a tweet claiming no evidence of transmission on the same day Chinese dictator Xi was briefed that transmission was happening. There’s noway that’s a coincidence, nor would such explain the WHO’s later repeating of Chinese talking points well into March.

Anyway, here’s Pelosi insisting that Trump’s order is illegal.

“This decision is dangerous, illegal and will be swiftly challenged,” Pelosi said.

“We can only be successful in defeating this global pandemic through a coordinated international response with respect for science and data,” she continued. “But sadly, as he has since Day One, the president is ignoring global health experts, disregarding science and undermining the heroes fighting on the frontline, at great risk to the lives and livelihoods of Americans and people around the world.”

I’m struggling to figure out how the decision to cut taxpayer funding from an international organization is illegal, but hey, it’s the Democratic Congress. I’m sure they’ll figure something out.

Let’s note here that continuing to bleat about the “experts” is nonsensical. The WHO are “the experts” in this case and they screwed this up so badly that well over a million people will die now. But because the orange man is bad, Democrats are now going to take the side of a Chinese infiltrated foreign entity over America. It’d be insane if it weren’t so predictable.

Pelosi can keep talking but there’s little she can do here. No bill to restore funding will ever make it through the Senate, not because of partisanship, but because it would be the absolute wrong thing to do. The WHO needs to be held accountable even if Democrats have no desire to do so.
