Govs Spanberger, Moore Going to Be Big Mad As ICE Swoops Down on VA and MD — Arrests 1,300+

Despite Virginia Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s multiple efforts to thwart U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from trying to clean up Joe Biden’s illegal alien mess, ICE swooped into the Cavalier State — and Maryland too — and nabbed almost 1,500 “undocumented immigrants” (otherwise known as people who have broken our laws to get here).

Many of them were criminals and tried to actively escape law enforcement. These are the people Spanberger and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) work to protect instead of their own legal residents:

Some had major rap sheets with violent crimes on their record, including rape:

BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE: DHS tells @FoxNews that ICE has quietly carried out one of its most successful operations in agency history, resulting in the arrests of 1,328 illegal aliens in just a 14-day span in the states of Virginia & Maryland. Nearly 400 of the aliens had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, including a Salvadoran illegal alien wanted by police in Richmond, VA on a murder warrant. Other targets included aliens with rap sheets for attempted murder and rape, as well as convictions for sexual battery, kidnapping, robbery and DWI.

The operation primarily targeted the sanctuary jurisdiction suburbs in VA & MD around Washington DC, and ICE arrested anyone in the U.S. illegally, regardless of any criminal history.

Many tried to fight the law — but the law won.

The feds called it “one of the agency’s most successful operations to date,” and it comes in the wake of numerous high-profile crimes in the D.C. area committed by illegals:

The operation comes as Maryland and Virginia, particularly Fairfax County, Virginia, have seen significant crime involving illegal immigrants, including violent and sexual offenses.

The operation, titled "Operation Safe Community — Washington, D.C.," took place from Aug. 1-14.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin told Fox News that "the brave men and women of ICE are hard at work every single day getting these dangerous illegal aliens out of our country."

“While sanctuary politicians in Virginia and Maryland keep putting the needs of illegal aliens over the safety of the American people," Mullin added, "the Trump Administration will always put American citizens first."

Neither Moore nor Spanberger has commented on the operation as of this writing.

Whiny governors like Moore, Spanberger, and California’s Gavin Newsom can moan all they want and do everything in their power to prevent ICE from doing its congressionally mandated duties, but in the end, their efforts just make the agency's job harder.

They don't stop them, though. Just ask 1,328 illegal aliens.
