There’s really no difference between male and female athletes, right?
Isn’t that what all the pro-biological males in women's sports have been telling us? As WNBA coaches, players, and leftist agitators pummel Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham for daring to say men don’t belong in women’s sports, radio talk show host and Outkick founder Clay Travis has an offer: prove that the rhetoric you’re spouting actually stands up to the test of something known as “reality.”
And do it where it counts: not with tweets and T-shirts and venomous protest signs. No, do it on the basketball court.

He later detailed how the challenge would work: If the Aces win, they get the huge payday (almost 30 percent of the team's annual revenue), but “if the boys win, I will give them $10 million to distribute as they see fit to their team members. Game on pay-per-view with all profits donated to Tunnel 2 Towers to provide mortgage-free homes to families of deceased soldiers, police & first responders.”
When Travis says he’s upping his offer, he’s referring to a similar but much smaller challenge he threw down in 2023. But that was then, when gender fanatic Joe Biden was in office, and this is now, when President Trump and many, many others, including Sophie Cunningham, are recognizing that the practice of pitting males against females is unfair, unsafe, and frankly, immoral.
My son was a relatively high-level basketball player on a California high school team that went to state championship title games and which featured a future NBA star. I lived in that world, and the levels of talent, size, and athletic ability that I witnessed were pretty stunning. The Golden State may have many issues, but they don’t play games when it comes to HS hoops.
In other words, the women would have no chance. The last thing I want to do is demean ladies, because as a father to daughters, a husband to a wife, a son to a mother, and a brother to sisters, I want to protect them, not mock them.
But the reality is the reality, and that’s simply that the genders are inherently different.

Something I’ve opined in the past: one reason we haven’t seen even more blowback to this ridiculousness is that it has yet to hit the most popular spectator sports. What do you think will happen if the powerhouse UConn Huskies women’s basketball team lose to a challenger with a long-haired seven-foot, 280 lb. dude who claims he’s a woman at center? What if the women’s Wimbledon champion is won by a dude in a skirt who sports a 130-mile-an-hour serve? What would happen if a muscled-up male dethrones a star like Olympic Gold medalist Simone Biles in gymnastics? Wait till you see his vault routine.
I’ll tell you what would happen: leftist hypocrites would suddenly wake up and screech that they’re all in for women’s rights. But never forget that they are MIA right now as legions of lower-level female athletes are regularly seeing their rights trampled in the name of progressivism.
Clay Travis’ challenge here may seem like merely a stunt, but I think it’s more than that. If these people are going to continue to try to push their claptrap down our throats, then they should be able to put up and prove that what they’re saying is true or shut up.
The problem for them is that they can’t.
My guess: the Aces will wimp out and refuse to play because of “scheduling conflicts.” They know that Travis just played a checkmate move, and the best thing for them to do is run the hell away and hope people don't notice.
Travis wasn't done, though: he had this epic idea to share Monday afternoon. He has another idea for an epic ball squad:
