Introspective Trump Sits for Interview With Daughter-in-Law Lara, Labels Biden 'Worst President' Ever

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, married to his son Eric who is currently serving as the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, aired a wide-ranging interview with the president Saturday night on Fox News where the reflective commander in chief discussed everything from the oh-so-close assassination attempt against him to the failures of his predecessor, Joe Biden, who controversially won the 2020 election despite campaigning mostly from his basement.

Asked about his unprecedented success since retaking office, the president took an unexpectedly humble turn:

Well, experience is very important in life. I think talent is more important than experience, but if you can have them both somehow, it's a very good thing, but experience is very important.

I think it also helped that [Biden] was very bad for the country, but it also helps to have four years of horror—what went before me was horror, and by comparison, anything looks good—and I don't want to demean what we've done because we have done a lot of records, but what they've done to our country should never be forgiven, allowing millions and millions of people to come into the country that shouldn't be here.

Those comments come in the first minute of this clip:

He was talking, of course, about the illegal immigrant crisis that has gripped the nation as former President Joe Biden—who Trump correctly labelled as the "worst president of our country"—abandoned his duties as commander in chief and ushered in millions of illegal aliens across our southern border in an utterly corrupt attempt to change the electorate in this nation.

Trump shut down the border seemingly within minutes of taking the oath of office in January, and has triggered progressives by enforcing law and order ever since and taking concrete steps to remove those here illegally from our homeland.

There was much discussed as the president sat down with his daughter-in-law, but another moment that stuck out was when he talked about the assassination attempt on his life, which occurred exactly one year ago today:

LARA TRUMP [who watched the horrific events unfold in real time]: Well, we are at the anniversary of your Butler rally where Eric and I along with [their children] Luke and Carolina watched on live television as so many people across the country, and really the world did, when there was the assassination attempt on you, and as we come to this moment, I am thinking back to what happened right after that.

You actually called all of us on the phone, and it was amazing to me that that was what you thought to do, that you wanted us to know that you were okay and I know it is the moment none of us will ever forget and I am sure for you, tenfold.

The president responded:

TRUMP: Well, it was unforgettable, I didn’t know exactly what was going on, I got whacked, there was no question about that [footage of Trump getting hit plays], and fortunately got down quickly, and people were screaming, and I got down quickly, fortunately, because I think they shot eight bullets, and one got me and one got another one, and one got another killed Corey [Comperatore] the firefighter—great guy—and we had a tremendous massive crowd.

There is still so much we don't know about the wannabe assassin:

But Trump noted that it could have oh so much worse:

Tens of thousands of people were there, and our sniper within less than five seconds, was able to get them [wannabe klller Thomas Crooks] from long distance with one shot. If he didn't do that you would have had an even worse situation, it was really bad, but he—his name is David—and he did a fantastic job, and he went about his business, less than just about four seconds, that's when all stopped, then they got them perfectly from the very long distance, so we were lucky in that regard.

There was much more to this interview, but it was interesting to see a president who is often considered “bombastic” and “over the top” show his more introspective and thoughtful side. Clearly, being millimeters from death changes a man.

Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
