We’ve reported numerous times on positive polls showing that a huge number of Americans are happy with President Trump’s performance since his January 20 inauguration—and we've also told you about the surveys showing that the Democrats’ approval rate has plummeted to historic lows
But the news just keeps getting better, and it’s always fun when it’s reported on CNN, much to the consternation of folks like anchor Jake Tapper, who clearly doesn't enjoy hearing good news about Trump.
Remember this gem, when correspondent John King brought some numbers that Jake really didn't like?
SPECTACULAR MOMENT FOR AMERICA and for @realDonaldTrump:

CNN’s Jake Tapper is left speechless after John King shows the places where Kamala Harris over-performed Joe Biden:

Harry Enten is an excitable sort and tends to read out the results with enthusiasm, which probably only adds to his colleagues' angst. On Tuesday, the CNN data guru revealed that Trump is even more popular now than in November when he was elected with 77 million votes:
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said Tuesday that the percentage of Americans who believe the nation is “on the right track” has surged under President Donald Trump’s second administration.
A survey from Marist, published March 3, found 45% of Americans say the U.S. is on the correct trajectory. An NBC News poll published March 16 found that 44% shared the same sentiment.
Enten, on “CNN News Central,” noted these figures are “very high” for modern times and significantly higher than those under former President Joe Biden’s administration.
"Significantly higher than those under former President Joe Biden’s administration." Shocked, not shocked.
Watch:
We need a "reality check"... Right track % in the U.S. is "through the roof!" Highest since 04 per NBC & 2nd highest since 09 per Marist.

Trump is more popular now in his net favorable than any time in term 1 or when he won in 2024.

As RedState's Streiff and others have reported, it’s not the first poll to show these kinds of awesome results.

The loquacious Enten detailed what the numbers mean:
“If the polls have historically underestimated Donald Trump, what is a metric that might get an understanding of how popular he may actually be. So let’s take a look at the percentage of the country who say that we’re on the right track,” Enten said. “It’s actually a very high percentage when you compare it to some historical numbers. What are we talking about? According to Marist, 45% say that we’re on the right track. That’s the second highest that Marist has measured since 2009. How about NBC News? 44%? That’s the highest since 2004.”
“The bottom line is the percentage of Americans who say we’re on the right track is through the roof….
“And also keep in mind, back when [former Vice President] Kamala Harris lost and the Democrats were turned out of power, only about 27 to 28% of the country said the country was on the right track.”
But then he dropped the real kicker:
But in reality, he’s basically more popular than he was at any point in term number one and more popular than he was when he won election back in November of 2024…
Those are some pretty impressive numbers. Trump has barely been in office two months, yet he's already stopped the human disaster at the southern border, repatriated hundreds of violent illegal aliens, told the Houthis what they can do with it, made inroads on negotiating a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, and plenty more. His Cabinet is an All-Star team of folks committed to cutting the bloat out of government and making it more responsive to the needs of America—not the extremist progressive fantasies. Bringing on SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk as the head of DOGE has turned out to be a masterful move, as DOGE has uncovered billions upon billions of pernicious government waste.
The Democrats are lost and flailing—currently, they’re going nuclear over Signal-gate, and while that security error was certainly sub-optimal, it’s unlikely to send millions of voters running back to the left. What Dems are missing with their whining, their vicious mocking, their newfound love of profanity, and their constant boring warnings about an imagined “threat to Democracy” is that the American public is enthused with this new reality under this president. A commander-in-chief who is actually coherent.
America is back, and I'm loving it. Apparently, so are many other fired-up patriots.
