Netanyahu Gives Fetterman an Unusual Gift That Outrages Libs—but the PA Senator Loves It

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted John Fetterman an unusual present Wednesday: a silver-plated beeper.

What, might you ask, would the Democrat Pennsylvania senator want or need with a beeper? Well, it’s not exactly for use, it’s intended as a symbol for the spy movie-worthy offensive taken by the Israeli government where they fooled Hezbollah terrorists into using pagers to communicate—without them knowing that they were actually manufactured by their sworn enemies and were rigged to explode.

Which they did, to spectacular effect.

Fetterman, who’s been one of the few Democrats to staunchly support the Jewish state as they battle the barbaric evils of Hamas and Hezbollah, was thrilled:

Netanyahu explained the importance:

“This is a silver-plated beeper. The real beeper is like one-tenth the weight,” Netanyahu said Wednesday after handing the symbolic device to the senator. “It’s nothing, but it changes history.”

Fetterman’s response: “I love it.”

Fetterman, who has been a vocal supporter of Israel in its war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas, then told Netanyahu that, “When that story broke, I was like, ‘Oh I love it. I love it,’ and now it’s like, thank you for this.”
“Thank you,” the Pennsylvania Democrat added before shaking the prime minister’s hand.
The gift is a reference to Israel’s operation in September last year when it detonated booby-trapped pagers in an attack to take out Hezbollah, a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization, in Lebanon.
Netanyahu and his wife Sara met with Fetterman and his wife Gisele on Wednesday at the prime minister’s office in Jerusalem. The trip was Fetterman’s second visit to Israel since becoming a senator.

Of course, the gift sent the left into paroxysms of predictable outrage:

'I can't believe this man once conned progressives into campaigning for him and defending him,' one X user said of Fetterman. 'Forget pro Israel, he's pro Netanyahu, who just massacred over 100 kids to avoid going to court for his trial. Sick stuff.'
'This despicable ghoul is a US senator. What a joke!' echoed another.
'OMG. To be this cruel and this tacky all at the same time,' one user penned.
Another wrote: 'Who doesn't enjoy a gift from a criminal thug murderer?'
'Proud of their terrorism. Sickos of the highest degree,' said another.
One added: 'Absolutely no way this is real… right???'
'Why is the senator from Pennsylvania hanging out in Israel? And who's paying for it?' another asked.

As RedState’s Ward Clark reported in February, Netanyahu also gifted President Trump a commemorative beeper—but that one was gold-plated:

Israel gained an enormous amount of prestige in their battle with Hamas and Hezbollah with last year's loaded pager/walkie-talkie operation, which had the goblins looking at their personal electronics and seeing grenades. Israel managed to remove a fair number of goblins from the game with this complex and impeccably executed operation, and on his visit to the White House on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted President Trump with a gold-plated pager to commemorate the event. During their meeting, Netanyahu gifted Trump a golden and a regular pager.

Fetterman is wrong on (too) many things, but he’s one of the few almost-sane Democrats left in Congress. His support of Israel in their existential fight has been important, and although he votes wrong on most subjects (including his indefensible “nay” on the "Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act"), he nevertheless deserves this silver-plated beeper.

A: Hamas does not want peace.
