Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas ("Wall Street") appeared on “The View” Wednesday soon after fellow thespian George Clooney dropped his brutal editorial calling on Joe Biden to walk away from his reelection effort. Douglas seemed to agree, saying, “I think it’s a valid point."

“It’s such a tough one. I adore the guy. Fifty years of public service — a wonderful guy. This just happens to be one of these elections that is just so crucial. And it’s really hard,” Douglas said Wednesday on “The View,” when asked by co-host Joy Behar about calls for Biden to step aside in the 2024 race.

It's actually not that hard, Michael. You have a compromised president who is in no way able to run the most powerful country on earth. It's time to let go.

He continued:

“I think it’s a valid point,” Douglas said. “I’m deeply, deeply concerned. It’s especially difficult because the Democrats have a big bench. They have a lot of heavy hitters.”

Like who? Kamala Harris? Good luck with that one.

As my colleague Nick Arama reported Wednesday, Clooney’s letter was a harsh wake-up call to the president and the entire Hollywood community:

We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate. This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly. [....]

We can put our heads in the sand and pray for a miracle in November, or we can speak the truth.

Oof.

Nutty former “Meathead” actor turned director turned unhinged progressive outrage machine jumped in to reiterate his own previous call for Biden to hang it up:

What's the big deal, Who cares, you might ask? They’re just Hollywood folk, their opinions don’t matter.

The reality is, Hollywood has served as an ATM for the gargantuan Democrat fundraising machine for so long—but now many are holding on to their money after Biden’s faceplant of a debate.

It’s not just actors: Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, and IAC chairman Barry Diller have all indicated that they'd pulled their support for the embattled president.

Team Biden is desperately trying to silence the ever-growing calls for him to head back to Delaware—but they just seem to be getting louder. One can't help but wonder if Obama put out the word, "It's time."
