Americans are shocked as journalists have uncovered layer after layer of rampant fraud in Minnesota. Billions of taxpayer dollars went into the pockets of fraudsters, and it has become increasingly apparent that elected officials knew what was going on but did nothing. Investigations are going on at both the state and federal levels to get to the bottom of who knew what, and when they knew it. But as expected, not everyone is cooperating.
Somali Rep. Ilhan Omar just REFUSED to show up for a Minnesota fraud hearing to answer questions about her involvement in the massive Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.

A Republican lawmaker in Minnesota has gone straight to Omar's office and is formally requesting records regarding her possible involvement in the "Feeding Our Future" program, after Omar skipped out on a hearing in the Minnesota State Legislature on that program and other COVID-19-era programs.

Minnesota Republican State Rep. Kristin Robbins, chair of the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, sent a letter to Omar denouncing her no-show at a hearing that focused on the MEALS Act, a COVID-era relief program that Omar sponsored and was passed in 2020. In the letter, Robbins stated:
"Minnesotans and the Members of the House Fraud Prevention & State Oversight Committee were disappointed that you failed to appear before our committee to answer questions."
But if Omar thinks the questions from the Committee are beneath her and will just go away because of her whiff on the hearing, she would be wrong. Robbins is now asking Omar's office to turn over any communications that would show how she promoted extended access to federal child nutrition programs. That communication would include emails, texts, and any meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and any of her constituents.
There are also questions about Omar's possible ties to a Somali restaurant in Minneapolis, the Safari restaurant, which Omar promoted in a video as a meal distribution site. The Committee is asking for any communication regarding the video and any involvement the restaurant may have, as well as any ties to individuals in the Somali community associated with the fraud.
Rep. Ilhan Omar filed documents with Congress saying her wealth was between $6 million and $30 million. Now she says that was a mistake, and her wealth is actually between $18,000 and $95,000. That's quite a difference. From @WSJ: https://t.co/nSSy3WUrNW

Robbins stated bluntly regarding Omar's failure to appear at the hearing, "She didn't even respond, ghosted us. And her Meals Act is what created the conditions that allowed Feeding Our Future to happen." Robbins was also asked if Omar ever responded to any of the Committee's requests. She replied, "No, we’ve sent multiple emails, multiple letters, nothing."
Democrats blather on about how "no one is above the law," but clearly Omar can't be bothered by the people she represents to answer a few questions so that Minnesota taxpayers can hold people accountable for stealing their money. Omar has had her own finances scrutinized recently, including a highly questionable financial disclosure, which put Omar and her husband's worth somewhere between $18,004 and $95,000. That in itself is quite a range. But those numbers are revised from a previous statement, which put their assets between $6 million and $30 million. Also, quite a range.
Then, there was the winery owned by Omar's husband, Tim Mynett. My colleague Ben Smith recently reported that the winery was legally dissolved nine days after Omar changed her financial disclosure and listed it as worthless. But a year ago, that same winery was worth as much as five million dollars.
Ilhan Omar may think she can play "Who do you think you are?" with "lowly" state legislators, but they aren't playing. State Rep. Robbins has asked Omar to provide a written response and the materials requested by May 5.

The Minnesota House Fraud Committee is looking into if the outspoken Squad member had ANY ROLE in a massive fraud scheme of stolen COVID funds that were meant to feed children in need.
