Late-night "comedy" shows have long been annoying. What used to be a way for Americans to wind down after a long day, and tune in to something genuinely funny, where the host might talk about politics, but made fun of both sides of the aisle — because, let's face it, there's a lot of material there — just doesn't exist anymore. The days of Johnny Carson and Jay Leno are sadly behind us, and we are left with hosts who are nothing more than left-wing shills for the Democrat Party and their candidates and ideas. But now, late-night hosts' incessant liberal shilling may come back to bite them.
The 12-page filing accuses Jimmy Kimmel of using the public airwaves to advance Democratic politics without disclosing his personal ties to the candidates and campaigns he has supported. https://t.co/NT9q7cNPAN

Conservative watchdog group, The Center for American Rights (CAR), has filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for participating in "unlawful politicking" and violating network broadcast licensing rules. CAR is accusing host Jimmy Kimmel of improperly using public airwaves by using the show to exclusively promote far-left Democrat policies and politicians that, oh by the way, without disclosing to his audience, he had contributed to.

Daniel Suhr is the president of the Center for American Rights, and stated:
“Late-night hosts are notorious for using their airtime to support the left and disparage the right. ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel is perhaps the worst offender. What’s no laughing matter is Kimmel’s consistent disregard for the FCC’s conflict-of-interest policies, which prohibit using the airwaves to advance his personal political agenda.”
Suhr continued and laid out the whole grift.
“Kimmel is making a mockery of the American people by including major Democrat politicians as just another ‘guest’ on the show. The reality is that he has undisclosed skin in the game: he’s financially supporting the Democratic Party, hosting massive fundraising events and then bringing these candidates on his show for a free, softball interview.”
The thinly veiled commercials for the Democrat Party have been well documented by conservative organizations like the Media Research Center (MRC). A study conducted by the MRC in July found that, for the first half of 2025, 99 percent of late-night comedy show guests were, surprise, Democrats. When it came to elected Democrats as guests, it was 30 hard-core leftists and not a single conservative. A few of those elected Democrats should list their second job as regulars on those shows on a tax form. The frequent flyers included Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), and the new face of the Democrat Party, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX).

But the campaigning was not limited to elected officials, and included members of the Democrat Party propaganda arm, the media. Broken down, nine guests were MSNBC hosts, including Chris Hayes, who made three appearances on various shows, eight were CNN hosts, and six were CNN employees. The only guest who could be remotely considered conservative was "American Compass" economist and commentator Oren Cass, who appeared on "The Daily Show" to discuss President Trump's tariffs. Nope, nothing to see here.

The late-night left-wing cabal of hosts has been getting away with blatant free campaigning for Democrats for a long time, and now someone has finally called them out on it. The complaint suggests possible corrective actions such as admonition or a probationary license renewal for KABC, which is the Los Angeles-based ABC-owned affiliate that airs Kimmel's show.
It is unclear whether a monetary fine would be involved, but with CBS being done with "The Late Show's" host Stephen Colbert's lefty antics, will an FCC complaint be something ABC wants nothing to do with, and be enough for them to finally dump Kimmel and his unfunny, worthless show? You would think that Colbert's tanking with viewers would have been enough for the network execs, but getting a federal agency involved in what amounts to blatant campaigning may up the ante.
A word of advice to Jimmy Fallon and the rest of the late-night buffoons: you might want to start paying attention.
I hope Jimmy Kimmel is next
