Democrats Debut Their Latest Attempt to Compete With Conservative Media, and It Bombs Spectacularly

Since the November presidential election, if it were not for problems purely of their own making, Democrats would have no problems at all. In the ten years since Donald Trump came down the escalator at Trump Tower, Democrats have made no attempt to figure out what his appeal is to average Americans or why. And since those same Americans overwhelmingly reelected him, they have also made no attempt to understand them or listen to them. They have sunk millions of dollars into trying to figure out how to "communicate" with those Americans, including a new liberal media venture. So, how is it going?

First, a little background. Back in February, I brought you the story of a meeting at the office of Laurene Powell Jobs that included people from Soros Fund Management and a media outlet called "Crooked Media," created by some former Obama folks. The point of the meeting was to create a liberal media outlet that would rival the likes of Joe Rogan and Theo Von. The result: the premiere on Monday on YouTube of "The Blueprint." According to Democrat party officials, the goal of the new daily show is to focus on messaging and promote how Democrats are pushing back on the Trump agenda. How did the big premiere go? About like you would expect. Monday's first show got a dismal 8,000 views over 24 hours. Tuesday was even worse, with a mere 499 views in the first four hours.

The crashing and burning of yet another attempt at liberal media comes as Democrats continue to flail about in search of any viable leadership or common-sense message. Their support and encouragement of the ongoing anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles is a prime example. A majority of Americans approve of deporting illegal immigrants, especially those who have committed violent crimes. Adding to their woes, the fact that new DNC Chair Ken Martin stated in leaked audio from a Zoom meeting from last month that, “The other night I said to myself for the first time, I don’t know if I wanna do this anymore." And really, who could blame him?

Democrats watched helplessly during the campaign as Donald Trump made the rounds of conservative media, including spending three hours with Joe Rogan and making an appearance on Theo Von's podcast. They knew there was no way Kamala Harris, with her never-ending word salads, could withstand a marathon appearance with either Rogan or Von or anyone like them. The problem, Rogan and Von would have asked her tough questions about where she stood on the issues Americans care about, and what she would do regarding those issues as president.

But let's be honest and queue the schadenfreude. Massive liberal bombs like "The Blueprint"—and for those of us old enough to remember the ill-fated liberal radio network "Air America"—do nothing but make conservatives smile. Because we know that Democrats and the left are never going to get it. The success of Rush Limbaugh and the conservative media empire that he spawned was because when Rush came on the scene in 1988, half of the country had never heard someone agree with what they thought. Rush and those who have come after him have all brought something new to the table. The left has hundreds of other places to go to hear the same thing. Why do they need another liberal outlet? "The Blueprint's" lack of an audience is the answer.

The best part, because Democrats will never get it, conservatives can look forward to more endless fun watching future liberal media attempts flop.

Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
