The possibility of another Trump presidency is sending the left into fits of terror. And while it is thoroughly enjoyable and comedy gold for conservatives to watch, there seems to be an increasingly disturbing underbelly of rabid leftists who are taking Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) to a very dangerous level. It is something that conservatives should be paying sharp attention to, and perhaps the Secret Service as well.
Alex Soros is the son of left-wing investor and philanthropist George Soros. He is also a textbook example of the old saying about the apple not falling far from the tree. In 2023, he took over his father's philanthropic interests and told the "Wall Street Journal" that "We think alike," when speaking of his father. While that thought is disturbing enough, he went on to say, "I'm more political." That fact was on full alarming display on Sunday when he sent out a tweet about an article that appeared in The Atlantic about crime and inflation, and theories about what caused them. Fair enough to comment on something you have read. But Soros didn't stop there. Below his comments, he included a picture. On one side, a picture of a bullet hole, on the other side, a picture of someone holding exactly $47. Subtle as a freight train, Alex?
Last year, the crime and inflation crises largely evaporated. So did the leading theories about what had caused them. https://t.co/WguJQkj1PG

The threatening comments against former President Donald Trump are nothing new and started immediately. The day after Trump's inauguration in 2017, we were treated to aging and washed-up singer Madonna declare, "I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House." Then there was everyone's favorite, another has-been celebrity, "comedienne" Kathy Griffin with the now infamous photo of a bloody look-alike Trump head. Griffin was investigated by the Secret Service for the photo. Will Alex Soros face the same scrutiny? I would hope he will.
It was former Fox News host Tucker Carlson who said out loud in an interview with fellow former Fox News host Dan Bongino what sadly may have crossed the minds of many conservatives as to where the left may headed in terms of advanced TDS. Carlson posited that:
“In the case of Trump, they started with protests, they moved to impeachment, now they’re at indictment. None of it has worked. What’s next? What is, what could possibly be next? If you felt, and you really believe it, and a lot of them do, that the worst thing that could happen to the country, and more specifically, to you in the professional class is to have Donald Trump as president — and everything you have tried has failed, and they have been accelerating steps – protests, impeachment, indictment – like, how many more arrows do you have in your quiver? And what’s the next one? And of course it’s assassination.”
@SecretService @FBI Might wanna check into this!

If Trump wins reelection, it is a foregone conclusion among Republicans that there will be yet another primal scream session in front of the White House, and possibly, something that looks surprisingly like January 6, 2021, but coming from the left. (The left likes to deny it, but they've already carried out violent attacks in D.C. related to Trump - on his inauguration day and during the 2020 Republican National Convention when Rand Paul was attacked by leftists.) But will the left-wing rhetoric become increasingly violent thanks to comments like those of Alex Soros? It only takes one person more unstable than the rest to feel compelled to carry out what Alex Soros is not-so-subtly advocating for. Just ask Rep. Steve Scalise.
Alex Soros was incredibly foolish enough to put that tweet out there, possibly thinking his name would shield him from any investigation. That remains to be seen. But how many are not advertising? We know that George Soros and now his son do not have the best interests of America in mind whatsoever. When men like the Soros' tell you who they are, believe them.
Is it a threat or a signal to proceed?
