Professor Insists U.S. Is 'Only for White People,' Talks 'Redemption' When 'There Is No America'

A college professor at Bryn Mawr College is speaking out.

If you’re unfamiliar with the school, it’s nestled in the Pennsylvania town of the same name.

Per its “About Us” page, Bryn Mawr’s a “distinguished women’s college” where “students choose from a wide array of majors in the sciences, social sciences, and the humanities.”

And they don’t mess around with injustice:

The College is a leader in academic innovation, with a particular focus on putting learning into action through research, fieldwork, community and social justice engagement, and internships.

Perhaps as part of the stance for social justice, Assistant Professor of Education Chanelle Wilson recently waxed on the value of America and its service to different races.

Amid an appearance on podcast Refuse Fascism — whose logo features a Donald Trump statue being pulled down — Chanelle explained America “didn’t work for black people.”

The same goes for American Indians:

“Damn sure didn’t work for indigenous people.”

And:

“It did not work for people of Mexican ancestry.”

How about Asians, who — as stated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics — “earned more than their White, Black, and Hispanic counterparts in 2017”?

“It didn’t work for Asians. It didn’t work for Jewish people. It didn’t work for Japanese people. It didn’t work for Chinese people.”

Chanelle’s over the failed experiment:

“We have people who recognize that none of this works for your average ‘American citizen.’ It doesn’t. So why wouldn’t we try something new? This whole experiment is failed. Their experiment has failed.”

But don’t misunderstand — the country has helped one type of person:

“This country is only for white people.”

According to the teacher — who’s also Bryn Mawr’s director of Africana Studieshere’s what nonwhites are told by white Americans:

“Don’t ask for too much, be happy that you’re allowed to be here, don’t make a ruckus, don’t say anything, don’t have a brain, don’t learn, don’t do any of those things.”

“That,” she made clear, “is the truth.”

Chanelle’s certainly not the first to notice a problem:

As for trying something new, Chanelle means radically new:

“I don’t think there can be redemption until there is no America.”

Of course, not everyone’s Team Chanelle: As observed by The College Fix, a 2020 World Values survey revealed “Americans are among the most tolerant people in the world.”

Maybe Chanelle’s met all the wrong people.

If so, here’s to hoping she comes across some white people who aren’t viciously racist, as well as some domestic minorities who’ve managed success.

In the meantime, Bryn Mawr — alma mater and former employer of white people Katharine Hepburn and former President Woodrow Wilson, respectively — is doing its part to balance justice’s scales:

Sadly, still, the instructor’s American experience has been less than grand:

“I’ve never felt like I belonged here.”

So goes life amid a forced fitting:

“[T]his country was made for white people. Still operates for white people. And everyone else just is supposed to fit in.”
