Call it a sign of the times: America’s resident genius, Elon Musk, has recently welcomed a child with his girlfriend, 32-year-old Claire Elise Boucher — otherwise known as singer Grimes. And the kid’s name is one for the books.
On Monday, Elon made the big announcement — the founder of Tesla and previous father of five welcomed a bouncing #6.
The 49-year-old entrepreneur shared a photo of himself and his newborn son.

When a follower asked for the little future worldchanger’s name, Elon dropped a bomb.
To be clear, “Elon” isn’t exactly common; he won’t soon be winning that key chain at Six Flags.
But with the new little Musk’s moniker, Grimes and her guy have really outdone themselves.

CBS News offered the following:
One of the most popular theories is that the baby’s name is X Ash Archangel. How does that translate to X Æ A-12? Æ is a ligature meaning Ash, one Twitter user pointed out. A-12 could refer to Lockheed A-12 aircraft – codename: Archangel.

Another tweeter tried to crack the code with “Jão.”
Here’s how that breaks down: “X = 10 = J Æ = ã A – 12 (count backwards) = O.”

“X = 10 in Roman numerals, 10 is an angel number representing god and his government on the earth, ‘god said’ appears 10 times in Genesis I. Grimes has a song titled Genesis. Maybe X means Genesis.”
Thankfully, Grimes provided an explanation online.
How’s this for an elaborate epithet:
“X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence).”
Furthermore:
“A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat).”
