Comedian D.L. Hughley has a pretty low opinion of, well, you.
As reported by Fox News (with video provided by MRCTV), the star of TV One’s The D.L. Hughley Show made his thoughts clear Tuesday night on-air.
In case you’re unfamiliar with D.L., he executive-produced the 89-episode The Hughleys for ABC/UPN.
On the small and silver screen, he’s also appeared in Hawaii Five-O, Scary Movie 3, Soul Plane, Scrubs, and Inspector Gadget 2 to name a few.
And, as stated Tuesday, he could never be friends with a “staunch” supporter of Donald Trump.
“Hell no,” he insisted.
Trump’s enablers are, according to D.L., “self-centered” and “morally vacant.”
Does the entertainer think the same about all the rappers who praised New York’s most eccentric billionaire for years before his ram-horned Republican transformation?
Also, guess what — it’s the Republican side that’s anti-Semitic:
“[Trump’s] supporters are anti-Semitic. He’s calling [the Quad Squad] racist, he’s racist. … When people committed acts of violence in your name and you don’t denounce them, and you still support him, you are a vacant human being.”
But wait — there’s more.
And if you, the reader, can tear away from your meeting in the woods trying to summon a spiritual Earth-curse that’ll either annihilate humanity or be cast into a bunch of swine long enough to continue reading this…I’ll tell ya more about Americans sporting red caps.
Here’s D.L.’s message:
“You could worship the devil and be a better human being than if you worshiped Donald Trump. Look up the tenets of the Church of Satan… and then go to a Trump rally and you’ll feel safer around Beelzebub than this dude.”
Co-host Jasmine Sanders submitted, “There’s nothing likable about him.”
D.L. delivered the DL on you Moloch maniacs:
“Devil worshippers have a higher standard than he does. Devil worshippers — you couldn’t be a pedophile, you can’t speak bad about people, you can’t just take things from people.”
“I don’t even know if I could be friends with someone like that,” Jasmine explained at one point.
D.L. seconded:
“We can’t be friends. We can’t be friends.”
Why? Because D.L. has requirements for his friends:
“And one of them is to be human.”
Strong statements from a man in Hollywood.
Putting aside the notion of the Prince of Darkness for a moment, in simple literary terms, something tells me the Trump-hating members of Tinseltown qualify much more hardily for a biblical comparison: Call them Legion, for they are many.
