A bartender-immediately-turned-Congresswoman who, according to some, has yet to indicate any understanding of anything to do with economics, history, or government, may not be the best person to criticize someone for a lack of job credentials.
But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t much for convention.
So here we go:
Ivanka Trump accompanied the President on his trip to Osaka Japan’s G20 summit. In photos with world leaders, there she was. The First Daughter represented the U.S. in meetings with leaders from ’round the globe and led the U.S. delegation during a discussion devoted to women’s economic empowerment.
AOC wasn’t into it.
Therefore, this:
“It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification. It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

Talk about outdoing yourself.
I’m buckling my seatbelt for the impending mockery.
Here it comes…
Could be worse… Ivanka could have been a bar-tender 18 months ago. https://t.co/xAj8Guc3hH

Remind us how being a bartender qualified you to be a member of Congress creating laws, voting on bills that impact Americans & the world.
Let’s not go there & start comparing your resume to @IvankaTrump’s experience & resume.
She also takes no salary. Way to support women… https://t.co/xM8PBkfyIF

I didn't realize being a bar tender was a qualification to be a member of Congress? https://t.co/cWC9zrgXdb

Modern day feminism: tearing down an accomplished woman because she doesn't hold your ideological views.
But, ya know, she's not a bartender so what the hell does Ivanka know anyway? https://t.co/H4WPqlyiCR

Being the daughter of a billionaire and President of the United States is a hell of a lot better qualification than being a socialist bartender.

Not everybody was against Alexandria. One user recognized her for the “scholar” she is:
…She won an election as a degree-holding scholar. That’s still not enough? It’s only enough if she wields your own worldview?

As for Ivanka’s resume, The Daily Wire laid it out:
[P]rior to joining the administration, Ivanka Trump was an executive vice president with the Trump Organization and served as CEO of her own clothing and accessories empire.
What did misogynistic Trump and shouldn’t-be-there Ivanka do over in Japan? Well, they teamed up for a little bit o’ this:
The United States is the only country in the G20 with an entirely female negotiating team representing President Trump and advancing his priorities.
Looking forward to heading to Japan tomorrow! #G20Japan #WGDP

Still, they’ve got a long way to go…to make it to the Big Leagues of here:
