WATCH: 8-Year-Old Girl Ava Martinez Does Her Best Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, & the Dead-On Video Goes Viral

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez confounds me. As I’ve indicated before, I feel genuinely bad writing about her, because she not only appears to understand nothing about anything, she seems to be of the mind that she magically knows everything.

It feels excessive to frame those facts in a more negative light than is already accomplished by their mere existence.

And yet, she sits at the head table of U.S. law. Therefore, we must point out the problems therein (like here, here, here, and here).

And someone doing a bang-up job of that spotlighting is 8-year-old Ava Martinez.

Ava’s impression of Alexandria has gone viral, and for good reason. She hits the nail on the head with a science-dropping message to America in a minute-long video.

A sample:

“Like, in July, the climate was 96 degrees, and in February the climate was 36 degrees. OMG — like that’s a huge change in the climate in only four months.”

I can imagine hearing AOC say that very thing. Ava’s bullseye reminds me of the Babylon Bee (here, here, and here) — their absurdist satire sometimes pegs the Ridiculous Meter red while also pegging Normal. Our politics and culture have reached such a ludicrous state that what should be a joke is outright actually the case. Hence, what should be funny is frequently unnerving.

Let Ava strike a nerve in you as she schools you on socialism, global warming, Armageddon, and math below. And let me know what you think. Also, give her a Like if you approve.
