The continuing saga of our new social media princess, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ( A.O.C. yeah you know me) rolls on with a new revelation that she knows how to pay for her “Green New Deal” proposal. Raise taxes on millionaires and billionaires.

Print more money.

Our heroine from the overtaxed state of New York came out with her visionary plan today to save the world from disaster — lest we die in 12 years — and she wants Uncle Sam to print more money. Just like they are doing in Venezuela right now. What could go wrong?

According to The Week

Ocasio-Cortez’s proposed 70 percent income tax on the mega-wealthy ended up being more popular than politicians and billionaires thought. But in a Thursday NPR interview, Ocasio-Cortez also declared we also have to “break the mistaken idea that taxes pay for 100 percent of government expenditure.” She argued for a “combination of” taxes and deficit spending, essentially saying it’s worth increasing the deficit if an idea might “actually pay for itself” through job creation later on, and that lawmakers could regulate inflation with strategic taxes down the line.

Essentially, Ocasio-Cortez is continuing to argue for Modern Monetary Theory — something she said “absolutely” needs to be “a larger part of our conversation” in a recent Business Insider interview. The theory says that because governments can literally print money, “they can spend as much as they like,” Politico explains. “Inflation is the only obstacle” that should stop the presses, The Week details here. In short, it’s a big, untested idea for a big, untested plan.

I just love her.

Let’s forget the hokey idea that if we don’t do SOMETHING now the world is going to end in 10 or 12 years. We are on the 4th or 5th version of this with these fruit loops on global warming, global cooling, or now climate change.

Climate changes all the time and many scientists have differing views on this. If anyone says it is conclusive they are pushing a wagon full of bull for their own monetary benefit.

The real meat of this green deal that A.O.C. has concocted is planning on pushing new industries into profitability with the help of the tax dollars of you. The kicker is she wants to print more money to devalue it so we have to get more greenbacks to purchase less.

Can someone get the ghost of Hugo Chavez on the phone to talk to our friend from Brooklyn on how that is working out for his former country? I know she is a whizz at social media so she might want to google Crisis in Venezuela and take a look. As Trump said the other day about this country, we should never become a socialist one. Hopefully, we start working to push back on these ideas that have failed everyone in every corner of the globe.
