As former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) once said, some parts of the country are so blue that a "glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name."
Though Pelosi at the time was taking a not-so-subtle jab at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during their well-publicized mini-feud early on in AOC's first year in public office, the statement continues to hold true, as evidenced by the state of California electing notorious Russia collusion hoaxster Adam Schiff in the 2024 elections to serve as their next senator.
Schiff's general election GOP opponent, as RedState readers will recall, was legendary former Los Angeles Dodgers player Steve Garvey, who during a candidate debate dinged Schiff over Russia collusion lies he told during his stint as House Intelligence Committee chairman, telling him, “You lied to 300 million people. You can’t take that back."

It is with that in mind that we turn to the ceremony held at the White House on Monday to honor the Dodgers' 2024 World Series victory over the New York Yankees.
President Donald Trump and many in attendance were all smiles for the event, with Trump at one point receiving a "47" jersey from Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw:

During his speech, Trump introduced some California Republicans who were there but also said that he was opting not to introduce Schiff or his fellow California Sen. Alex Padilla because he didn't "particularly like them." He later quipped after the crowd laughed that he didn't think the statement would be that controversial because "it's Washington":
Trump introduced a number of California representatives in attendance Monday but took a swipe at the state’s two Democratic senators (Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff), saying he wouldn’t introduce them because “I don’t particularly like them.”

Reps for both Senators claim neither of them was in attendance for the East Room gathering.
Schiff and Trump, of course, have had a frosty and highly adversarial relationship over the years, with Schiff, as noted above, being among the top Democrats who perpetuated the Russia collusion hoax that his party and the mainstream media used as the basis of their early witch hunts against Trump and his closest allies.
On a much more pleasant note, there was also this:

Earlier, Trump had praised Otani, who was the National League MVP in 2024, for his many baseball accomplishments and "movie star" looks.
