RedState editor streiff aptly wrote an article addressing the idiocy of Christianity Today’s reaction and that of the woke-scold Twitter theologians that we come across regularly to tell us how un-Christian we are for supporting President Trump here. I wasn’t surprised to see people like David French jump on the band wagon and play the “how can I use Christ as a political weapon during Christmas” game. Much like the tired meme of atheists calling Joseph and Mary refugees to convince us that protecting our border is un-christian, it is just another attempt at dishonest social shame to force a political agenda.

The readers at RedState are intelligent so I don’t need to belabor how incredible stupid the points by these people are, but what I will point out is how malicious their intent truly is. Many of these NeverTrumpers have sold their brands by claiming to be political experts, media analysts, and over all gurus when it comes to understanding the pulse of America. I have to imagine with these types of resumes they would be able to recognize that they are being weaponized to create a civil war in the Evangelical movement specifically because the Left sees the religious Right as their greatest threat. You would seriously have to be an idiot not to see it.

I have had numerous debates with people this weekend and heard them not only defend David French calling drag queen story hour a “blessing of liberty” but also try to claim that it really is principled to let a Democrat who doesn’t hold any of your values is still somehow better than Trump because Trump makes off-color jokes and says mean things on Twitter. The fact of the matter is, Evangelicals support Trump with good reason, he has consistently advocated for them and recognized their issues. What we’ve seen from the neo-Conservative movement is that they will gladly pay lip service to the religious right, but if they don’t fall in line with the political agenda, these neo-cons are quick to run to their friends on CNN and MSNBC and sell you a backwater unchristian morons just to get invited to the Turner broadcasting Holiday party.
