Democrats on the House Judiciary committee decided to have a hearing on “white nationalism” a term with which they have failed to define, because they prefer a nebulous definition so they can apply it broadly to anything they disagree with. There were a lot of notable exchanges but Scott Grier did a good breakdown on Twitter of some of the notable statements that show Democrats are using this hearing as a means to censor conservative speech heading into the 2020 election.
Richmond also claims the White House gives safe harbor to and supports white nationalism

A Democrat Congressman is claiming that the Trump administration supports white nationalism, that way Democrats can claim anything from the White House is white nationalism and therefore should be banned speech.
One of the hearing witnesses demands the government give "the muscle" to erase white nationalism

It’s comforting to know that the hearing involved people begging the government to provide “muscle” against speech. Some of the witnesses at this hearing include representatives from Facebook who are being asked by Congress to censor posts and news stories that Democrats consider white nationalism, which as seen above, includes anything from the Trump administration. Are you seeing a pattern here?
Clarke claims Trump is encouraging kids to hate. Every Democrat and most panel witnesses have blamed Trump for the "rise in hate"
— Scott ☸️ Greer (@ScottMGreer) April 9, 2019
There is a narrative being built in this hearing, and that narrative is Congressional Democrats are attempting to convince the American people that disagreeing with them is tantamount to hate. This is by far one of the most disturbing hearings I’ve ever witnessed. This is so plainly a suppression operation for Democrats because they know social media will have a large influence on the electorate and they want to ensure they go into the election unchallanged.
Kristen Clarke complains Facebook still has hate pages that say "It's Okay to Be White"
— Scott ☸️ Greer (@ScottMGreer) April 9, 2019
We are in a world where elected officials consider the statement “it’s ok to be white” hateful. These are interesting times.
