On Sunday, White House Border Czar Tom Homan, speaking with Fox News' One Nation with host Brian Kilmeade, laid a right smackdown of Democrat politicians who are proclaiming the need to abolish Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), despite the agency's track record for stopping drug trafficking and finding lost children.
Mr. Homan had those numbers at hand in this conversation.

Mr. Homan said:
Look, they say they want to abolish ICE, even members of Congress are, "let's abolish ICE." But what they are failing to tell the people is, we're enforcing the laws that they wrote. That they enacted. We're not not making this up. We're doing the same job we did under any other president, except for the last four years under Joe Biden, ICE wasn't allowed to enforce the law. If they look at the results of what ICE has done, right, record numbers of arrests and deportations. In June ICE arrested more illegal aliens than at any time in the history of the agency. July? We blew June out of the water. August is going to be the same thing.
And people need to remember, just short of 70 percent of everybody we arrest, is a criminal. So we're removing hundreds of thousands of criminals from their neighborhoods, making those neighborhoods safe again. But they can have an (unclear) to abolish ICE, OK? ICE just found 151,000 missing children that were smuggled during the Biden administration, they lost track of them. Some of these children were victims of sex trafficking, some were forced into labor. We rescued those children, 151,000. So you want to abolish an agency that found 151,000 children.
You want to abolish an agency that seized enough fentanyl to kill every American three times over again. You want to abolish an agency that is attacking sex trafficking women and children across that border. It just don't (sic) make sense. Again, we're making the country safe again, the numbers prove it. Simply look at the data.

Here's the thing: Under the eight years Barack Obama was in office, the United States detained and deported 2.4 million illegal aliens. ICE was operating then, under precisely the same laws and regulations, with the same methods and tactics, that it uses today. Not one Democrat let out so much as a peep, because it was under the Obama Administration. But now, with most of the Democrat Party suffering from Stage IV Trump Derangement Syndrome, they are howling about deportations.
The fact is, ICE is doing work that is under the legitimate purview of the federal government, they are doing it under laws enacted by Congress and, at the time, supported by both Democrats and Republicans. Democrats didn't complain about any of this from 2009-2017. They have no business complaining about it now.
The campaign messaging here, for the midterms, is plain, and Republicans should hammer this message home: Democrats are supporting drug and human traffickers, and child abusers. Democrats are opposing efforts to find these people and arrest them.
The only thing that anyone in any elected office should be telling Tom Homan, ICE, and all of the other federal law enforcement that is involved in this, is "Good job. Keep it up."
