Harris Campaign Panic: Even the British Can Smell It

When an American political campaign is imploding to the point where even the British media is pointing it out, you know things are getting bad. Granted, the American presidential election has global implications; the United States is, despite the efforts of generations of Democrats, the most powerful nation on the planet. We're the big guys, the industrial-scale butt-kickers, and when we're in the process of electing the new leader of the free world, our foes and allies alike pay attention. America's allies, if they have any sense at all (in some cases that assumes facts not in evidence), have to be looking at the prospect of a Kamala Harris administration with no small amount of concern.

On Sunday, though, the U.K. Daily Mail points out that the Harris campaign is imploding. Yeah, we knew that already. Nice to see some on the other side of that Special Relationship getting it.

A murderer's row of bad PR for the Harris campaign this week featured continued tanking in the polls, a widely panned CNN town hall, Donald Trump beating her to the Joe Rogan bump and even fellow Democrats slamming her rhetoric

Harris now trails Trump in the polling average in the crucial swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to Real Clear Politics

Fear is now gripping Harris' campaign and the 'vibes' are draining away as prominent Democratic lawmakers, as well as the liberal media, have been forced to publicly acknowledge the campaign is faltering at the final hurdle.

One Democratic strategist admitted to The Hill: 'Yes, it's close, but are things trending our way? No. And no one wants to openly admit that. Could we still win? Maybe. Should anyone be even slightly optimistic right now? No.'

It would be more amazing, of course, if the Harris/Walz campaign wasn't panicking. The Democrats hit a trifecta of stupid in this cycle:

  1. The primary voters handily gave the nod to old Joe Biden, a senile, doddering old man who is in no way capable of doing the job.
  2. After Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance in which Donald Trump eviscerated him without breaking a sweat, in a stunning display of abandoning the frying pan for the fire, the Democrats kicked Joe to the curb and installed Kamala Harris without one primary vote, and she has proven to be the worst candidate in the history of the republic. She's obtuse, she can't string together coherent sentences, she's never done an honest day's work in her life, and, honestly, she's not very bright.
  3. Kamala Harris then went on to choose as her running mate Tim Walz, who is in love with Communist China and brings literally nothing to the campaign but a well-publicized inability to load a shotgun and a wife who loves the smell of burning tires.

So, yes, they're panicking. Because they're losing.

The Daily Mail isn't just noting the collapse of the Harris campaign - they are admitting the opposite for the Trump/Vance camp.

Trump made the rare decision to forego his own bed and stay overnight in Detroit after his Friday night rally in Traverse City in northern Michigan.

He rallied thousands of supporters at an indoor venue in Novi, in suburban Detroit, with polls showing a tight race in Michigan and all seven of the battleground states.

‘This campaign is on fire – you can feel it!’ said Michigan Rep. Lisa McClain, warming up Trump’s rally crowd in Novi, a Detroit suburb.

Could the Harris campaign still, somehow, pull out a win? It's certainly possible. The Democrats have, historically, been pretty good at getting their voters to the polls. But smart money says it's the GOP's year, with every indicator from polls to betting odds breaking Trump's way.

The fat lady hasn't sung yet. But she's warming up in the wings. And even our allies - and our foes - are dealing with the idea that come January, Donald Trump will once more take his seat at the Resolute Desk.
