MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell Is Exhausted Covering Donald Trump and Needs More Time Off

Honestly, I feel just a bit sympathetic for MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell here because it is hard keeping up with Donald Trump. The sympathy ends there, though, because the reason why Trump is moving at a breakneck speed is to try to get as much of the junk that Larry and his friends have supported removed and/or revised in the shortest amount of time.

That's the part I'm thankful for, and so should you be.

There has been a lot of anger and angst on the left side of the media sphere ever since last November, and particularly since January 20th of this year, when Donald Trump raised his right hand and once again took the oath of office to become president of the United States.

Lots of angst.

MSNBC, in particular, has been going through some painful transitions where they've had to let some hosts go because people just weren't watching. I covered one of these stories because Joy Reid made it known she had some axes to grind.

I talked about that here...

Former MSNBC Talking Head Joy Reid Is So Mad She Is Thinking About Spilling Tea on Her Former Employer

Now that I have gotten through some stories about Joy-less that have undoubtedly brought you actual joy, we get to her plotting revenge in a closet somewhere, muttering things to her Rachel Maddow look-alike voodoo doll:

Joy Reid is reportedly plotting revenge against MSNBC after she was fired over poor ratings.

Reid, 56, is 'ready to burn the house down,' according to a report by Radar Online that claims the pundit is 'livid' and ready to reveal everything she knows about the inner-workings at MSNBC.

'MSNBC wants her to sign an NDA, but that's not going to happen. If they think they are going to silence her, they better think again,' a source told Radar Online.

I can't blame her actually for being ticked off. She was being paid millions to stare into the camera and do her schtick and not make any sense at all. Sweet gig if you parrot leftist garbage.

However, that is not the scariest part of the story because a "summit" was held, according to the article...

After her firing, Reid held a summit with Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell and Nicole Wallace, all of whom praised Reid and expressed how sad they were that the show was ending but refused to criticize their bosses.

Reid broke down as she explained that she's not sorry for having gone 'hard on so many' progressive issues like Black Lives Matter or immigrant rights on her primetime slot.

'Whether it’s talking about any of these issues and, yes, whether it’s talking about Gaza and the fact that we as the American people have a right to object, to have a right to object to little babies being bombed,' Reid went on.

'And and where I come down on that is I’m not sorry. I am not sorry that I stood up for those those

I have been watching, and so far, it seems Joy has not yet delivered on her threat of dishing the dirt on management at her former network.

I imagine, though, the stress level is still high at her former place of work because Donald Trump is not only running circles around the press, but he's thoroughly enjoying doing it.

For Lawrence O’Donnell, though, it is a bit too much, as I read about right HERE:

Speculation about The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell being canceled began when O’Donnell missed Monday’s broadcast. Several viewers took to social media to inquire about the host’s whereabouts and his expected return. Many assumed that he would be back this week after his scheduled week off. But his absence now appears to have been extended. O’Donnell has yet to address his absence on Monday.

For those unfamiliar, O’Donnell previously revealed to Rachel Maddow that he would be stepping away for a week from his hosting duties because he was “exhausted” from covering Donald Trump. He also praised Maddow’s dedication to hosting her show daily for 100 days during Trump’s second term—a shift from her usual once-a-week format.

“This is day 52. I thought it was day 92. It turns out it’s day 52, Rachel, and I’m exhausted at day 52, so I’m going to take next week off. And I’m telling you that now because I know you don’t like it when I just drift away. I’m just taking next week off, then I can come back and go with you all the way to the hundred days,” he said.

Now if Lawrence had been canceled, he would have let his loyal fans know that MSNBC had just given him the Joy Reid treatment. That way, they could have made an uproar to try to save his job and bacon on X (formerly Twitter) or Facebook, but no such news.

So Lawrence O'Donnell fans, rest easy. You folks so far still have your hero and Rachel Maddow.

Even though Rachel is soon going to go back to just one day a week, I have a feeling MSNBC will probably get her to extend that because you have another three years and 10 months of Trump and MSNBC can't afford to lose more viewers.

I would highly suggest you folks start doing mental push-ups because the next three years with Trump are going to take a lot out of you.

Those of us who survived four years of Joe Biden fully understand the pain you might be going through, and we are going to enjoy it.

God Bless.
