I hate to break this to the Main Stream Media who love to repeat rumors that they all share as relevant breaking news but you have this one 100% incorrect. The funny thing is you have no idea why — which is why you gremlins are lucky you have moi here to explain this simply to you.
I expect CHRISTmas cards from the White House Biden Lap Dog folks this year for this.
So, by now, most people have seen and heard that President Trump has contacted “supporters” about starting a new political party. In case you have forgotten, this is a tired old tactic that the media uses to stir up controversy when they are trying to get some faction enraged. Just take a moment and think back on how many “sources” in and around President Trump went to the media to spill dirt starting with the Russia Collusion Hoax and go on from there.
You could find 10 in less than 5 minutes.
Here is the latest non-story from The Hill…
President Trump has reportedly floated the possibility of starting a new political party as he prepares to leave the White House amid internal struggles within the Republican Party.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that Trump has discussed the matter with associates in the last week, suggesting he would call it the “Patriot Party.”
According to the Journal, it’s unclear how serious the outgoing president is about starting a new party. The outlet noted that Trump’s wide base of supporters was not heavily involved in the Republican Party before Trump became the party’s 2016 presidential nominee.
Speculation has grown as to whether Trump will run for the presidency again in 2024. If he did, it could effectively exclude other viable Republican candidates from pursuing the presidency. Traditionally, third parties have failed to gain enough momentum to challenge the Democratic and Republican parties.
Within this li’l blurb, they actually give the reason why Donald Trump would NOT do his own party. In case you missed it here it is… Traditionally, third parties have failed to gain enough momentum to challenge the Democratic and Republican parties.
There you have it.
Donald Trump was the leader of the greatest economy this world has ever known. That was due, in large part, to his whole life living and breathing in the business world and the experience he gained all those years. While Trump loves to say he was not a politician, that did not mean he was not watching what was going on. He knew how the game was played long before he became President.
So, Trump is wise enough to know third parties DO NOT WIN in today’s environment. The closest any party has ever come to relevancy was back in 1992 with Ross Perot and the Reform Party running against George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Perot and his party grabbed 19% of the vote and did not win ONE electoral vote and handed the election to Clinton.
So, why does the media think that Donald Trump would be dumb enough to make the same error? They don’t, but they want others to think this and panic. This has been their M.O. since Trump came down the escalator — that they need to muddy up the news stream to get people to freak out.
I know this will come as a shock to most of the GOP establishment that secretly hates Trump, but the former President currently owns the Republican Party. He is not going anywhere and the Republican Party is ripe to have some of the old guard thrown out after this last election cycle. Trump is not going to spend billions to build something new when he could spend much less to make the current vehicle much more effective.
Don #45 is not as dumb as the media wanted to portray him and they have not figured that out yet. Well, they probably have but they just don’t want to admit it.
So, pack away the fake angst about a Trump third-party MSM, this is just another in the long list of stuff you have gotten wrong and I know you won’t stop this streak anytime soon.
