I would love to say I believe in karma but alas I do not. If I did though, I would be chalking this story up to that mystical force and not just because of the recent kneeling to the mob mentality all sports leagues are engaging in. There is also the fact that the N.F.L. Commissioner, Roger Goodell has molded the game just a couple steps away from playing flag football. Who wants to watch that on Sunday afternoon?

Well, now the No.Fun.League. has a pretty big challenge in front of it with COVID-19 forcing people from attending these games. That could mean a HUGE loss of up to $5.5billion dollars to the league in total. According to Yahoo Sports

If NFL teams play games without fans in the stands in 2020, the league could lose $5.5 billion, according Forbes’ Mike Ozanian.

That figure is based on stadium revenue from the 2018 season, according to Forbes.

The NFL would lose $5.5 billion of stadium revenue (the sum of tickets, concessions, sponsors, parking and team stores) — or 38% of its total revenue — based on figures for the 2018 season (ranking below). But the impact on the individual teams would vary greatly. For example, the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots would lose over half their total revenue while the Buffalo Bills, the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals would lose less than one-third.

This is just another example of the piss poor planning of the folks in Washington D.C. who screamed to close everything without a clear understanding of what the consequences could be across the board. The nation has suffered in multiple ways because of this.

The bigger issue we keep being told though is the safety of the players and fans involved in these sports. Baseball fired back up this weekend with no fans but the sport lends itself to social distancing on the field of play. Football does not afford such luxury of distancing. The whole sport is centered around trying to knock someone else head off at some point.

Possibly if the N.F.L. just decided to cancel the season as I wrote about here last week… We Should Just Cancel the NFL Season to Save Lives ( Also for the Children) than they could save lives and money.

If you cancel the season than you do not have to pay the players and the other services that go along with that. Of course, you don’t MAKE any money but think of it this way. You don’t lose 5.5 billion dollars and you SAVE LIVES.

That is the goal, right? One life is too many

I thought I heard that somewhere.
