Every once in a while the host of “Real Time With Bill Maher” on HBO gets an issue so right it makes me almost want to subscribe to the channel.

Almost.

Last nights show he berated the Democratic National Committee for banning any of their candidates from doing a primary debate on Fox News. He really stuck the knife in by saying how very “Trump” like it was for the Democrats to run and hide.

According to the Daily Caller…

“Last week, the Democrats made a terrible decision when they announced that they had turned down Fox News’ offer to host one of their 2020 primary debates, saying Fox was nothing more than propaganda,” he said. “OK so why not go on Fox News and tell them that?”

“You want to be in the big leagues, but you refuse to ever play in an away game? You don’t like the questions that Fox News might ask, so you’re deciding to not take any questions at all? How very Trump of you,” he charged.

Maher also tweeted Friday his disgust with the decision: “Democrats, you call yourself The Resistance? Then fight behind enemy lines! That’s what a resistance does. You have to get inside the @FoxNews bubble and fight.”

Maher is dead on.

When Tom Perez from the DNC made the announcement last week that they would be skipping Fox, most people just shook their heads and smirked. That the Democrats running for the toughest job in the world next to Kim Jong Un’s food taster would skip the huge Fox audience is laughable.

So Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram schlepping for Trump has you concerned? So what. Suck it up buttercups, they won’t be doing the questioning. I’m sure that Brett Bair and Chris Wallace would pull most of the duty for throwing you kids questions you won’t answer. No one has questioned their legitimacy as real newspeople.

This just shows that the Democrats are more interested in feelings and not solutions. Instead of a chicken in every pot, we now have the hope of a cry towel in every linen closet being someone might say something mean. The new version of the Democrats will be a blast to watch, marching towards 2020.

Kudos to Maher for lambasting them for their weakness.
