Governor Andrew Cuomo sure knows how to run a charm offensive. Higher taxes in your state drive out people who make lots of dough and you send the tax man after them to make sure they understand that the reason they moved was the best decision of their lives.

According to FOX NEWS this is what has the Governor grumpy…

New York state goes to extraordinary lengths to catch wealthy residents who try to flee its burdensome taxes, leaving a gaping hole in the state’s treasury.

The aggressive approach by state tax collectors comes as the Empire State faces a $2.3 billion budget deficit that even Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo called “as serious as a heart attack.”

Cuomo, a vocal critic of President Trump, blamed congressional Republicans for passing tax reforms that reduced the state and local tax deduction Americans can take on their annual income tax forms — meaning residents of high-tax blue states like New York have been feeling the pinch, sparking their exodus.

“This is the flip side. Tax the rich, tax the rich, tax the rich,” Cuomo said last month. “We did. Now, God forbid, the rich leave.”

Oh. My.

Couple things here for the Democrats who are in control of everything in New York.

Why do you think your citizens should get a write off of state and local taxes on the Federal ones? That is one of the dumbest and sneaky things you and others across the country have done to line your pockets. Don’t worry though  New York peeps, they have a plan to continue the money shifting New York is Fighting Back Against the Federal Tax Plan

Also, this revelation is marvelous.

OH, THE IRONY.

Driving out the rich and chasing them with the tax guy presents some long term problems both financially and from a P.R. standpoint. Possibly the Governor is seeing the first part as a problem but figures he and his brother on CNN can hold back the bad image stuff with their charm offensive.

When you chase out those who are successful and you think that well is never going to dry up, you end up where N.Y. is now. The Governor is worried about a 2.3 Billion dollar budget deficit out of a $168.3 billion for FY 2019? That comes to just under 1.4% of the total budget and that is as “serious as a heart attack” You have a bunch of major heart attacks coming so you might as well just live in the E.R.

Even Governor Cuomo’s’ intellectual bunkmate, Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez, Mom has fled New York for the warmer temperatures and fewer taxes of Florida.

According to  Blanca Ocasio-Cortez…

“I was paying $10,000 a year in real estate taxes up north. I’m paying $600 a year in Florida. It’s stress-free down here,”

Ouch.

She isn’t even SUPER RICH yet ( give her daughter some more time to do some magic with PAC’S) and she fled your state. That really has to hurt.

Maybe there is a lesson in all of this that the son of the former Gov. Mario can glean from.

Don’t constantly pound the most successful people in your state into the ground over cheap talking points. Eventually, they will make a couple million and get out of that climate. Also, NEVER encourage the youngsters to believe in socialism and wealth redistribution being they one day may drive Amazon out of your state with all those jobs they were going to create.

Lesson. Over.
