President Donald Trump is ready to deal and will announce a plan to the Democrats and the nation in a 3 p.m. announcement from the Diplomatic Room of the White House today.

According to AXIOS

The offer is expected to include Trump’s $5.7 billion demand for wall money in exchange for the BRIDGE Act — which would extend protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — and also legislation to extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, according to a source with direct knowledge.

Jared Kushner and Mike Pence have led the crafting of this deal and the negotiations with members, according to White House officials.

The Bridge Act died in the 115th Congress last year and was a tad bit controversial. This was an Obama era fix to illegals being here and Trump had vowed to amend or end it but had pushback from Republicans in the House and Senate.

Now he is willing to try to give Democrats a way out of this with their base on Day 29 of the Government shutdown. Will they bite and will Trump be able to sell this to his base IF he gets the almost 6 billion more in funding for the wall/barrier/structure to stop people from just waltzing across the border?
