Santa Is Skipping Washington D.C. this year

Well, at least some things are still operating during Day 3 of the Government shutdown.

An article from The Hill earlier today announced that even though the government is partially shut down that NORAD ( North American Aerospace Defense Command ) will still be manning the radar controls to monitor Santa’s progress.

Most likely due to the Defense appropriations bill being signed back in September.

NORAD has been tracking Santa Claus on his journey around the world since 1955 in a joint venture with our Canadian friends to the north. Most likely this year, Santa will make multiple stops in Ottawa to Canadian government officials and will totally skip Washington D.C.

Can anyone blame the jolly old elf for that? I know I can’t.
