According to CNBC, the Senate Judiciary Committee has set a hearing where Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Ford will be invited to testify.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 24, at which Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and a woman who alleges that he sexually assaulted her will have the opportunity to speak in public, Republican senators on Capitol Hill confirmed late Monday afternoon.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today announced that the Committee will hold a public hearing with Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
“As I said earlier, anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has done deserves to be heard,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Monday. “We will hold a public hearing Monday to give these recent allegations a full airing,” he said.
Both Kavanaugh and Ford have indicated since this story broke yesterday they would testify.
