Oh, This Is Glorious: Trump Impeachment Darling Alexander Vindman Gets Humiliated in Florida Primary

This is how Alexander Vindman's day started.

And here's how it ended.

In an unexpected turn of events, Vindman — the odious little man who became the Left’s favorite Trump impeachment witness — went down in flames Tuesday night, losing Florida’s Democrat Senate primary to progressive state Rep. Angie Nixon. Decision Desk HQ currently has Nixon's margin of victory at 55.74 percent to Vindman's 44.26 percent.

The results are stunning considering Vindman had enjoyed a 10-point lead over Nixon going into the primary election day.

From Tallahassee to D.C., Democrats' consensus view is that the party's likely nominee, Alex Vindman, has run such a lackluster campaign that he may come uncomfortably close to his underfunded opponent, state Rep. Angie Nixon.

A poll last month from a Democratic-leaning group, shared with Axios, showed Vindman up by just 10 points.

Vindman, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, played a starring role in Trump's first impeachment trial. Vindman's twin brother, Eugene, is a House member from Virginia.

Adding a fresh layer of humiliation for Vindman is the fact that the progressive Nixon joined the DSA during her campaign, thus making him just another Democrat darling to have his campaign cannibalized by the party's radical far-left flank.

Nixon will now face Republican Sen. Ashley Moody, who breezed through her primary election, in this November's general election.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
