She's done it again.
Sophie Cunningham – whose unapologetic take on protecting girl athletes has made her beloved to clear-thinking Americans and reviled by the Left – had yet another viral moment on Friday night. This time around, it was her off-court antics that grabbed everyone's attention, and her haters aren't going to like it one bit.
After her team, the WNBA's Indiana Fever, was done beating the Dallas Wings by a score of 98–87, Sophie went out on the town in Indianapolis to celebrate the Fever's third straight win (making it an impressive eight out of the last 10). She ended up at Clayton’s Country Bar, a new honky-tonk in town that promotes "raising glasses and country spirits."
In other words, a natural habitat for Sophie Cunningham.

A man with a Fever baseball cap and a microphone pulled her up onto one of the bars and introduced her to the crowd: "Ladies and gentleman, my friend, America's sweetheart – Sophie Cunningham!"
As the crowd broke out in wild cheers, you could hear the beginnings of Toby Keith's patriotic anthem Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue start to play. Sophie started joyfully belting out the words as the crowd sang along – everybody was having a ball (wink, wink).

She looks entirely in her element, doesn't she? You kind of get the feeling she really loves the US of A, no?
And that might be the best part of the whole thing because Sophie has spent the past several weeks finding out exactly what happens when a female athlete wanders too far off the WNBA's approved ideological reservation. She's not letting any of it get to her – in fact, she seems to be having the time of her life.

Her great offense, of course, was saying that young girls should not have to compete against biological males.
"I think we need to protect young girls," she told ESPN last month. "They shouldn't have to go against biological men." She also pushed back on the inevitable accusations that her position amounted to hatred of transgender people, saying she had "never once said that."
For that, she's greeted with nasty signs at her games.
She has her supporters, too, though.

Things have also gotten heated on the court; some of Sophie's opponents don't seem to be taking kindly to her mega-superstar status.
Last weekend, Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington came flying in from behind and caught Sophie around the head and neck as she went in for a layup, a foul so blatant that officials called a Flagrant 2 foul and booted Carrington from the game.
The Left can wave nasty signs and scream ugly things at her, but none of it seems to be having the desired effect.
Sophie seems perfectly happy being Sophie – and a patriotic Sophie at that!
