President Trump has weighed in on Truth Social with his thoughts on the rising tensions in Minneapolis following the shooting of a violent protester by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, saying he has seen the clip of the woman "violently, willfully, and viciously" assaulting the ICE agent, noting it was "a horrible thing to watch."

The president also said that, based on the clip he viewed of the deadly altercation, he was surprised to learn the officer is alive and reported that the agent "is now recovering in the hospital." Furthermore, said Trump, "The situation is being studied, in its entirety."

President Trump did not hold back when placing the blame directly on the "Radical Left " for "threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis."

Here's the entirety of President Trump's Truth Social comments:

I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!

As RedState's Bob Hoge reported earlier Wednesday afternoon, tensions were already high in Minneapolis as ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers descended on the city as part of ongoing immigration policing efforts; additional federal forces were recently sent in to bolster the administration's investigation into the $9 billion of taxpayer money lost to fraudulent childcare businesses.

Here’s How Trump Brought Accountability to MN – and Torched Tim Walz’s Political Career in the Process

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin posted to social media, per Bob's reporting, that an agent fired defensive shots because he feared for “the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public.” More from McLaughlin:

An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.

He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.  The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.

Minnesota's Democrat governor, Tim Walz, who's currently under a glaring national spotlight after the rampant welfare-related fraud in his state and on his watch was uncovered, held a press conference Wednesday afternoon saying he was ready to take action if riots were to break out. "We are preparing the National Guard. They are prepared to be deployed if necessary," commented Walz.

Just last month, ICE agents working in Maryland shot two suspected illegals after they drove their van into the agents' vehicles. The wounds were not fatal and there were no subsequent riots.

Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
