Trump Claps Back at Story Over Ukrainian Speech Cash, but...

Words mean something, even when it’s just the word salad tossed out by the Tweeter-in-Chief.

The story I told you guys about yesterday involved a September 2015 video speech Trump gave to a conference in Kiev. In exchange, a Ukrainian steel magnate, Victor Pinchuk, made a $150,000 donation to the Donald J. Trump Foundation.

Trump was running for the GOP nomination, at that time, which could make the donation a problem. Special counsel Robert Mueller is looking into it.

Commence the tweeting:

Who didn’t expect there to be some sort of tweet?

Tossing in that it was Doug Schoen who set up the speech is a nice touch. The New York Times, in their piece, actually included that information, as well.

It’s not really the video appearance at this conference that’s questionable, and Trump knows this.

It’s the money, Donald.

Just what kind of problem that hefty payment represents remains to be seen. Still, it’s just so curious that you can’t turn any corner in Trumpland and not run into a Russian, or a pro-Russia associate.
