You Twisted My Arm - I'll Sign It: Trump Dumps a $1.3 Trillion Spending Bill on the U.S. Taxpayers

So, who took Trump’s threat to veto this monstrosity as a serious threat to end government overspending?

Suckers.

He’s not draining the swamp. He IS the swamp.

I can sense the quivering lips of pouty Trumpidian devotees, torn between condemning this horrible, big government spending bill, and remaining faithful to their liege, no matter what.

B…But… he said he would veto the bill!

Yeah. He said he’d build a border wall and get Mexico to pay for it, too. Know when you’ve been played. The man has built a whole career out of ripping off gullible rubes.

B…But… we’ve got red caps! They say “Make America Great Again”!

You should be embarrassed. You were told, early and often.

With a flourish, Trump touted the defense spending included in the bill as reason enough to sign off on a bill that nobody has had an opportunity to read.

For those of you still clinging to something you see as the conscience of a conservative, even as you support and defend this ridiculous liar, he did seek to appease troubled minds by saying he’d never do it again. That, of course, is a relief, since that $1.3 trillion will surely be paid off by the time it even comes up again.

It will, right?

After today’s press conference, I expect to see a lot of praise for the defense spending (which was needed), as if the defense spending is the bulk of the bill.

It’s not.
