Quinnipiac Asked, "What Word Comes to Mind When You Think of Trump?" What Did Voters Say?

Well…

A new Quinnipiac Poll out today has asked voters to log in with one-word answers to the first word that comes to mind when they think of President Trump.

Yeah. It wasn’t good.

In fact, it appears that the thought of Trump tends to cause people to react negatively.

Of the words that came up, out of 48 words that were used five or more times, 30 of those words were negative.

As used:

Idiot – (used 53 times)

Liar – (44 times)

Incompetent – (36 times)

Leader – (35 times)

Strong – (35 times)

A**hole – (26 times)

Great – (21 times)

Moron – (19 times)

Arrogant – (18 times)

Disgusting – (17 times)

Ok. That’s a harsh list, but I have to say, I’ve used a few of those words, myself.

Voters disapprove 57 – 37 percent of the job President Trump is doing, consistent with findings for the last four months. Trump has hit or topped the 40 percent approval mark four times since he was inaugurated. His highest approval, 42 percent, was in February.

That explains a few things.

How about that Russia probe? Did Russia really interfere in the 2016 election?

According to the majority of polled voters, 73 percent say “yes,” to the 22 percent that say “no.” Even Republicans believe that to be the case, 50 – 45 percent.

What’s more, at a margin of 41 – 28 percent, they believe that Russian interference may have helped tip the outcome of the 2016 election.

And American voters say 57 – 38 percent Trump has attempted to “derail or obstruct the investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 election.” By a narrow 48 – 44 percent, American voters say Trump did not collude with the Russian government to influence the election, but voters say 52 – 40 percent that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government.

In other words, Trump, himself, probably had nothing to do with bringing Russia into the election, but he’s certainly surrounded himself with a lot of friends of the Kremlin.

“President Donald Trump is known for hurling insults and he’s getting slammed right back. ‘Idiot’ is just one of a string of insults thrown his way by American voters,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

This is true. The man’s entire campaign was a pathetic, disgraceful display of the very worst instincts of fallen humanity. Nobody should be shocked or outraged that he’s getting it back.
