After Concerns over Slurred Speech, the White House Announces Plans to Settle the Issue of Trump's Health

So earlier today, I discussed Trump’s slurred speech while making his announcement about the U.S. embassy in Israel

Part of the discussion by the panel on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” centered on Trump’s physical health.

During the race to the White House, the health of both Trump and Clinton was an issue. Both are elderly. Hillary was prone to coughing fits and even fainted during one outing.

Trump is old, overweight, shows marked deterioration in his speech and mannerisms from years past, and the last time the notion of a physical was brought up, he had his bizarre-looking doctor write a note, while Trump waited downstairs in his limo.

Probably not the best way to get a thorough exam.

Well, whoever forwarded my piece to the president this morning can go ahead and ‘fess up, now. It apparently got to him, because the White House has announced that Trump will be having a physical early next year, with the results to be made public, soon after.

From the Washington Examiner:

The review will certify from a physician whether the president is “fit for duty.” Past physicals of former presidents have included information about medical history and past tests as well as information about any new testing, such as a colonoscopy. Trump will be evaluated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said during the press briefing.

She did not specify when exactly the medical exam would take place.

Colonoscopy?

Yeah… root him out like snaking a drain pipe.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is still blowing off concerns about Trump’s slurred speech at Wednesday’s presser.

Sanders called the questions about Trump’s health “ridiculous.”

“The president’s throat was dry, nothing more than that,” she told reporters.

A dry throat does not cause you to slur your words like that.

Traditionally, U.S. presidents have gone to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., or National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. Those facilities combined at the Bethesda location in 2011 and it now operates under the name Walter Reed.

I’d like to believe that Trump will get a more complete medical workup there, than with the strange guy from New York.

And along with the physical, I have just one more suggestion:

Neurological. Workup.
