A New Report Suggests Trump Actively Attempts to Circumvent His Chief of Staff

So apparently the pouty man-baby doesn’t like Big Daddy’s rules.

According to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, Trump has used several methods to try and get staffers to carry out his wishes, without going through chief of staff John Kelly, who has attempted to control the flow in and out of the Oval Office, as well as the messages coming from the White House.

Trump reportedly gives aides tasks and says they should not share them with Kelly, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday, citing several people familiar with the matter.

Aides have in the past decided not to abide by the president’s requests in order to not “run afoul” of Kelly, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Kelly has shown no hesitation in bouncing people from Trump’s inner circle, in order to keep the chaos down (with mixed results).

Another part of the WSJ’s report says that friends of Trump will also try and send messages through the First Lady.

“If I don’t want to wait 24 hours for a call from the president, getting to Melania is much easier,” one person said.

Of course, the usual calls of “fake news” are the first thing anyone interested in asking will hear.

That’s the line that came from a spokeswoman for Melania Trump.

“These are more anonymous sources peddling things that just aren’t true. The first lady is focused on her own work in the East Wing,” the spokeswoman said.

Indeed, like that horrific, Tim Burton/Nightmare Before Christmas-themed holiday décor she laid out.

John Kelly has called his new position the hardest job he’s ever had.

The man is a retired U.S. Marine Corps general, and this is the hardest job he’s ever had.

Kudos to Kelly for his efforts. I do not envy him the task of trying to keep an undisciplined septuagenarian with poor impulse control on point.
