This is the kind of blasphemous nonsense that is going on with Trump supporters that turns my stomach.
It’s highly possible that CNN went out and found the dumbest, most uninformed and reprobate Trump supporters they could dig up, but on a Monday morning 6-person panel of Trump supporters, nothing was done to improve the image of those who thought a profane reality TV personality would make for a good POTUS.
It was especially damaging to have one compare Trump to Jesus, and to openly admit to finding Jesus lacking, by comparison.
When asked about the ongoing Russia probe, this was the despicable answer:
“If Jesus Christ gets down off the cross and told me Trump is with Russia, I would tell him, ‘Hold on a second. I need to check with the president if it’s true,’” said Mark Lee, one of six Trump voters to appear on a CNN panel Monday morning.
Please, nobody lump this guy in with evangelicals, or Christians, in general, just because he mentioned Jesus.
First of all, Jesus is no longer on that cross, and he’ll never be there again.
Secondly, why did lightning not take out the whole studio, at that point?
The poor, deluded man went on to give the Trumpidian meme-speak about draining swamps.
“Trump is there for the small guy; he’s there for people like myself,” Lee said.
So who was Jesus there for? Because he welcomed all, I guess he would be considered a “globalist” and part of the establishment, therefore, rejected.
Lee described the “swamp” as “the mainstream, the elites that look down on a guy like me.”
Trust me, beyond selling you one of those overpriced hats on his website, Trump isn’t going to be rubbing elbows with you, either.
Another panelist spoke about making the House and Senate more accountable to the people, and that’s perfectly acceptable.
Going back to Lee, however, He just couldn’t stop being the dumbest guy in the room.
Asked about all the super-rich, Goldman Sachs transfers to the Trump administration, Lee gave them an enthusiastic two thumbs up.
“I love that,” he said. “They’re not politicians.”
Say… Does anybody else remember during the primaries when Trump supporters used the fact that Ted Cruz’s wife had some involvement with Goldman Sachs that it was a major, negative event that needed constant hammering?
But no, Mr. Lee. They’re not politicians. Like Trump, they just pay politicians, use politicians, and consort with politicians, in an effort to get sweet deals that benefit them, but tend to forget about guys like you.
