This should have rightly been titled, “Petty Trump Threatens Media President Pettily.”
And please, no arguments about how tough guys always whine like 14-year old girls at slumber parties.
They don’t.
The Hill is reporting on an email delivered to CNN’s president, Jeff Zucker last year, after the story of then-candidate Trump’s comments about grabbing women in their privates was released.
A CNN panelist pressed the issue of the tape to Trump during a debate, and he apparently didn’t take kindly to it.
In the full email, reportedly delivered by Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks, Trump accused Zucker of disloyalty and alluded to further retribution:
“Jeff — Too bad you (CNN) couldn’t be honest with how well I did in the debate. The dumbest thing I ever did was get you the job at CNN — you are the most disloyal person. Just remember, I always seem to find a way to get even. Best wishes, Donald J. Trump.”
The word is Trump spoke up for Zucker in 2012, recommending him for the position.
And, whether his word held any weight and helped get Zucker the job or not (CNN disputes that it did), the fact remains that Trump is a thin-skinned, petty, little man, and he apparently will take this attitude with any media source that attempts to do their jobs.
At what point do we admit this is a president who would prefer propaganda over truth?
